New agent idea: Hog rider Posted: 07 Feb 2021 08:15 AM PST As maney of you know, over the past few years of playeing this game almost everyone wants riot to add hog rider into valrant. I know the devlapers dont wana add Hog rider into valrant becuse hes got a Hammer and likes rideing on pigs which is OP IN reaal life. However, i Spent a lot of my time the past few minute to think of a way to make him Not op in valrant like Rana(Which hackers like to use). The hammer is like the knife except when You swinging the hamer at someone it looks Dangareous. E (main abilitey. recharge every few Minutes)- Battle cry. When you press the E buton, your Micraphone is broadcast on the whole map so evrayone can hear you talkeing. Then your alowed to make batle cry noise like clash clans hog rider. X (ultra abilty cost 4 ulltra orb)s - When you press ultra abilaity, all of Your team gets to ride hogs. This is good because The hog your rideing on gets friends and your team mates get hog rider. I absolutely love the hype and speculation that comes with a new agent every act. The posts around social media that riot put out before Yoru's release, and the little footstep Easter egg on icebox really showed how much riot wanted to hype up Yoru. I almost feel bad because Yoru being fully released in the cinematic would have been such a cool payoff, but was completely undermined by the leak. Every once in a while, when everyone agrees to a knife fight in mid, it's super fun, more so than any normal round in Spike Rush. And there's always that ONE GUY who pulls out the gun and ruins the fun. I advocate for a change: add a Knife Round to Spike Rush. Bottom fragers Posted: 07 Feb 2021 07:13 AM PST I've heard many ppl complain to me abt how their carrying and the btm fraggers is "throwing" I asked y, he said because he's btm dragging.This is a moment to share about how all bottom fraggers isn't just bad or boosted. Sometimes after watching my record vods,I would just realize how much my "boosted" sage was helping the team. Yes he was 6/20.but I was watching him through the map.He wasn't getting any kills not bcs he was bad. It was bcs he was more of a win-btm than top frag-lose. Posted: 07 Feb 2021 12:32 PM PST 2 Months ago, Riot Crower made this comment in this thread pointing out how the European scene is getting treated terribly by appointing a tournament organizer that runs the format for First Strike (the most important even to date) in a best-of-1 format while other regions like North America had groupstages, double elimination Best-of-3 games and even groups while EVERY GAME WAS STREAMED. Riot Crower promised in the thread it was a mistake and they would do better, forward 2 months later to the Champions Tour's challenger stage this week and once again the European teams are getting screwed over by a TO that runs a terrible format. In North America, nerdstgamers is running the qualifiers for this event, in a double elimination format Best of 3 match. You lose one Bo3? Don't worry there will be another in lower bracket. 100T and TSM were both eliminated losing both bo3s however there will be another qualifier in a week running THE SAME format (double elim bo3s.) Nerdstgamers have gotten a lot of love and respect from the EU players for running such a smooth and good event: https://twitter.com/Sliggy_/status/1358109309192781827 In Europe however it's completely different. There is no double elimination, there are no bo3s until the Ro64 and the worst thing? THE NEXT EU CHAMPIONS QUALIFIERS WILL BE ALL BO1's ONCE AGAIN UNTIL THE VERY END OF THE QUALIFIERS, EVEN AFTER PROMISING THIS WOULDN'T HAPPEN. Teams like Team Heretic (EU First Strike Winners) went out of the first qualifiers LOSING A BO1, there was no double elimination, no group stages NO BO3s. One bo1 loss and they WERE OUT. The next qualifier, which starts in a week, will be ALL Bo1s until the round of 8 (semi finals) meaning teams will have to play and win SIX best-of-1s to make it to the bo3 stages, lose a single bo1? AND YOU'RE OUT. No Best of 3s, no double elimination, no streamed games like they have in the North American qualifiers FOR THE SAME EVENT How is this still happening even after /u/RCrower acknowledged they messed up and will do better? In North America nearly EVERY SINGLE MATCH GOT STREAMED while in Europe less than 5% of the matches have been streamed, and the 3 streams that do stream them (English/French/Spanish broadcast) ALL STREAM THE SAME MATCHES. It's understandable if Riot has partnerships with TV broadcasts but that does not mean the scene should suffer under such a terrible format, top teams who put in hours and hours into the game should not be out of the qualifiers to the biggest event up to date because of a single bo1 game loss. It's a disgrace how the European Esports teams are being treated compared to other regions, especially compared to North America. I mastered the art of Jett Judge and Climbed to Diamond 2 on my main using just an old budget laptop. Posted: 07 Feb 2021 07:16 AM PST Coming from shooter games where run and gunning was encouraged, I didn't like how inaccurate the guns were in Valorant when moving. I really liked the concept of Valorant because it felt like I was playing League of Legends. However, I didn't want to learn Valorant's shooting mechanics so I decided to main shotguns, namingly the Judge. I have played Valorant every single day since its release and have only been using the Judge on Jett. I really enjoy using the Judge on Jett because all her abilities complement it well. You have 2 updrafts to outplay and ruin any player's crosshair placements. You have 3 instant smokes to block unfavorable long angles and to isolate favorable close angles. You have a dash which is basically a get out of jail free card since you can use it even while getting shot. You can also use Jett's dash aggressively, however you have to make sure enemies are distracted or isolated since good players will shut you down easily if you use it mindlessly. All her abilites can also be comboed very well but it needs a lot of practice. Lastly, you have Jett's ultimate, which I use when enemies force me to peek long angles. I also use it when my team decides to low buy to boost my team's eco even further. I also use shotguns not only because it is OP on Jett, but also because it tilts enemies. Being super slippery in Valorant is not what players expect. Strafing left and right when in combat, flying out of people's vision, dashing away after getting a frag, dashing and flying out of people's crosshairs, jump peeking close angles. There is actually so many things you can do with Jett and you can actually destroy even Radiant aimers. However, with more than 1000 hours of practicing Jett Judge, I still have a lot of things where I need improvement on. I believe the only thing holding be back from reaching immortal is my old laptop, I legit get 50-60fps when in combat and sometimes even drops to 20 when I am recording. However, I believe I can reach Immortal/Radiant once I get a proper pc setup. I just made a Jett Judge guide, showing you guys what I learned through the months of everyday practice. I understand match making is broken but the rank system definitely isn't broken. You will get to where you belong even with the broken matchmaking. For those complaining about being high levels in the past now being hard stuck in silver and gold have you ever thought maybe you didn't belong in those ranks in the first place? Maybe the rank system was broken before? I used to and still play with a lot of players with high act ranks but they barely know the basics of the game it's crazy and I feel like with this system it's impossible those guys get promoted unless they actually deserve it. I live in Hong Kong and only play on HK1 and HK2 servers. I am blessed with 12-16 ping religiously. It never goes up, I never have spikes, I have 1gb internet, all is well with the world. Since the new patch, my server ping every other game is a sustained 100-112 from the beginning to the end. I've restarted my pc, I've restarted my internet, but when I reconnect the server ping for that match is still that high.
