If you're not currently aware already, we're doing a multi-week trial evaluating the effect of different rules relating to videos on the subreddit. This week, any video posts are subject to the following rules: All clips allowed, as long as they are longer than 30 seconds and as long as they do not violate any of our other rules (such as our relevancy rule). If they are shorter than 30 seconds, they must be posted as a link in a text post with 100 characters minimum of additional context (spam or throwaway text will be removed and met with warnings/bans) Week 1 Discussion Week 2 Discussion Please let us know what you think about the subreddit during this week by discussing in the comments. To avoid bugs report cluttering the subreddit and/or going unnoticed we will get a single Megathread which will be posted today and after every patch so that you guys can report the various issues in one place. This allows Riot to easily keep track of the bugs by providing a central hub and also allows other users to confirm that they might have encountered. Patch notes 2.03 Prerequisites to be noted before reporting a bug A bug will ideally be accompanied with a screenshot or a video. This provides credibility to your report. Steps to recreate the bugs should be submitted if possible. This helps Rioters recreate the bug and helps them find the cause behind it. Format when reporting a bug: When reporting a bug, please provide as much information as you can about your computer. • Region: The region you're playing in when you encountered the bug • Type of Bug: Client Bug, In Game Bug, etc. • Description: Describe what was the bug that occurred. • Video / Screenshot: Insert screenshot (F12 in game) or Video of the bug occurring. • Steps to reproduce: Provide the steps necessary if someone else had to reproduce the bug. • Expected result: What should have been the result when you follow the steps mentioned above. • Observed result: What was the result you obtained when you followed the steps mentioned above? • Reproduction rate: If you try to recreate the bug how successful are you in causing it to occur? Posted: 22 Feb 2021 10:22 AM PST Just got off a match where i had a teammate breach who sounded like he was having a rough day. So talked to him for a bit and then he asked us for reasons to live. I immediately relized that he was serious and me and the randos told him that he's great. He said he was good and just for extra mesure i typed in the suicide prevention number in chat just in case he needed someone to talk to. He said he'd call if he needs it and we continued to play the game. We won and after the game i sent him a friend request and he accepted it. Quickly Becoming a Feeding Host for Toxic Parasites Posted: 22 Feb 2021 06:23 AM PST I really got into this game and started practicing in unrated over the last couple weeks. On Friday I started competitive matches which proved to be a huge mistake. I've played maybe 6 competitive matches (forever stuck in Iron) and 4 of them I immediately was singled out, people asking if I was a girl, calling me gamergirl, but that's only how it starts. In the few mathes I've played people have resorted to saying I don't have rights, chasing me around making kissy sounds, talking in gross detail about their cocks, and just treating me like shit- after they find out I'm a woman, of course. I know not to egg people on, so I try to ignore them. I know being treated like this in the gaming community is unavoidable. Garbage people are everywhere and it happens- but the frequency and the rate is raising red flags big time. It happens, as I mentioned ~ around every 4 out of 6 games I play. I went in thinking maybe this would only happen every 1 in 10 games. I'm not going to play a game where I have to constantly mute or report or do all that, when there's a chance that 2 out of every 6 games, I won't be harassed for being a girl. It's annoying. I put a bit of cash into this game too, which is a bummer since I can't enjoy it unless I play exclusively unrated or with my dude friends who have my back. That's not very fun. So after the first couple times of this happening I try to avoid the abusive assholery by doing my best not to use voice chat. That way, people can't tell, and I can just play the game like everyone else. But in the middle of a match when it's heated- you have to make call outs quick- I use it and typically end up regretting it. Games have been thrown along with the insults. Let me clarify that I can hold my own for being new, so the degradation I'm referring to isn't about how I play, it's 100% about me being a girl. There's a difference between standard trash talk and being singled out because people identify you as "other". Now I know this won't be news to any of you, and you can hate my guts or whatever, but it just gets old. I've been playing games since I was a little girl, surviving the L4D2 days, so I should be used to it but I'm really not. It's exhausting. I was looking forward to maybe something different in this game. Since the agents are diverse, I assumed the people who played it were too. The tricky thing is that I acknowledge it's not Riot's responsibility to have to babysit and police their lobbies. They didn't create this problem, it's not their job to solve it. Another report on the 15th agent: orbs and datamines! Posted: 22 Feb 2021 12:00 PM PST Not all this information should be taken as facts. Hello again everyone! I was very glad to see the first report got an excellent reception, and what better way to keep it that way than to do another one with the new teasers. Come discuss all of it to the VALORANT Lore // Art Discord! Just like last time I also made a video to go along with the post. A recap of known information and the previous report As of right now the only confirmed knowledge is that the next agent will be a controller that plays very different to other agents. Not much to go off. However, in the previous report I threw in some possibilities. Both the Bridge Between Worlds and the Night Market point towards a Ghanaian agent. The colors on the Bridge Between Worlds hint at a woman that is part of the royalty. The State of the Agents article hints at the agent being a Radiant. This report will go over how the newest developments influence these possibilities as well as any new information that has come out. The orbs There have been many orbs popping up throughout the maps with the release of Patch 2.03. Their coloring suggests they are closely related to the Bridge Between Worlds card and as a result are part of the new agent teaser. The first one was found on Haven and the only map that remains without a map is The Range, with the most remarkable orbs out of all are the two below Bind's B site with a spawn rate of 100%. The "Restart Game" button on the Cheats menu is not enough to reset spawns, nor is changing rounds. There were two main findings: a new title string and agent related teasers. New title string This title is quite short, just "Pioneer". It is found listed as "VNLaunch" (meaning unknown) in the files under Premium Content, more specifically among other sprays and buddies that could be obtained via Twitch Prime or other in game events. Agent related teasers Datamining revealed the internal name for the orbs, "Floating Ember", although the relevance of this name is unclear. Furthermore and as with Yoru, the "Codenamed" folder is of great importance. It contains a folder named "PainAuxRaisins", which is the codename given to the new agent. Putting it all together (again) Given that the last time a teaser of this type was seen it teased the ability of the next agent it is safe to assume that this is the case again, probably a smoke or a flash. The similar color schemes of the Bridge Between Worlds card and the Floating Embers create a correlation between the two, meaning that the Bridge Between Worlds card does hint at an agent. Furthermore, the orbs also support the next agent being Radiant. The codename "PainAuxRaisins", French for "Raisin Bread", reinforces the idea of the next agent coming from Ghana, a country where the first language is French. Going further, the codename for Yoru was an anagram for his internal name ("JLatte", extended to "John's Latte" and rearranged to "Stealth Jon"), so it is possible "PainAuxRaisins" is also an anagram or something of the like, but so far nothing has been found. Does it make you feel good about yourself making other people waste their time knowing theirs nothing they can do? Does it's feel good to ruin other people's experiences on this game. I just wonder what goes through people's head sometimes.
