Why can’t you pick up Killjoy’s nanoswarm during buy round? Posted: 10 Aug 2020 05:52 AM PDT It's no secret that killjoy's nanoswarm grenade acts almost exactly like Cypher's cyber cage. To my surprise however, you cannot pick them up during the buy round. I understand that killjoy's grenade is not a quick cast like cypher's smoke, but what if it doesn't land where you expected it to? I think it should be pick-up-able during buy round. Not only this but that's without using "Drops Enabled" to lure viewers in. Instead it's just a pure desire to see the game at the Pro Level. Wow. Those TSM vs Sentinels finals made me realize how awesome Valorant Posted: 09 Aug 2020 08:42 PM PDT I've been playing since day 1 of the beta and I love Valorant, the game is incredible. But seeing such a high level performance from two amazing teams made me realize the beauty and depth of this game. The little plays they use to get information, the coordinated hard reads/gambles to get opening picks on certain rounds, the clutch plays, the overtime. The game is brilliant (and I realized its almost a information game as much as a tactical shooter) I don't want to be the guy who compares it to Counter Strike, but as someone with about 1000 hours in CSGO, I've only watched a handful of CS tournaments. But Valorant is enthralling. It's so much fun to watch. The interactions are so interesting and flashy. Compared to CS executes, they seem so alive as opposed to dry Valorant is it. I've gotten 5-man pushed as a defender so many times where I end up killing three people and my teammates are afraid to peek the enemy because someone died on the bombsite. And no, "just go back" is not an option for someone who is getting focused by five people. By the love of god, go in and shoot people.
I've had so many diamond games where people sit in corners, watch me play operator and shout "yah nice kills, now don't peek, we got 2 kills already". How about we peek the enemies together and crossfire them? Nope, I'm getting sold out and people tell me that I shouldn't be dying so much as a top-scorboarder... [link] [comments] | ||
Why do they keep matching golds and iron? Posted: 10 Aug 2020 11:00 AM PDT It doesnt happen just twice or thrice, but almost every single day. The matchmaker very often match people with 2 or more tier difference. In cases like this, it's almost guaranteed the irons will have KDA like 2/15/1 while the topfrags get 25++ kills. Do they want these new players to quit without ever learning how to place crosshair, counter strafe, etc? Why is it so hard for them to just match iron with iron/bronze?? Note : i came from other fps, so i directly start in silver using my previous gaming experience. But i can't imagine myself playing from zero knowledge against people who can one taps continuosly. MASSIVE FPS Drops for no reason Posted: 10 Aug 2020 02:33 AM PDT I dont know if its been mentioned on this subreddit before but has anyone been experiencing huge FPS drops mid-way through the round for no reason at all? Like it will be fine for most of the round then suddenly my FPS will drop to anywhere between 1-10 fps until i either die or the round is over. Also keep in mind i usually get well over 120 fps. I have also seen this happen to other people on my team where when i spectate them, it will be around 1-10 fps but spectating someone else will be perfectly fine. I asked them about it after the round too and they said they were experiencing it at the same time which was even weirder as it doesnt just affect the player but any spectators too. This has been happening since the launch of the game for me. Does anyone else have the same problem? [link] [comments] | ||

Almost all of my games lately have ended with scores like 3-13 or 13-3. I think one reason it's so wonky is because people are smurfing like crazy, and I think that's due in part to people making new accounts to try out Killjoy. I think they make new accounts to try out Killjoy and then go "Well now I have this new account, I may as well smurf with it". So they sandbag their unranked games while they mess around with Killjoy, and then they smurf in ranked games for the lulz. People will always smurf, but I think that if they reduced the incentive to make a new account it would happen a lot less. One way to reduce the incentive is to make it so that new agents can't be unlocked by new accounts using the two free agent unlocks. That way, Killjoy couldn't be unlocked with a free agent unlock until Act 3 starts, and unlocking her via grinding is just as hard for a new account as it is for a regular account (which is to say, not very hard at all). I think this would help reduce the number of smurf accounts and improve matchmaking across the board. [link] [comments] |
