Is this banable? Can I report my team for this?

    Posted: 28 Nov 2020 10:17 AM PST

So I was playing Killjoy in Haven, and my team, which was a 4 member premade, told me about this glitch where you put your turret in a specific spot and you can shoot a big portion of the map. I tried not to do it, and after all of them constantly insisting, I did it ONE round to see if it was true, and after the whole enemy team on me, which was completely normal, I decided it was not fair at all, and realized I could get banned. My team kept sabotaging, insulting, etc if I didn't do it during the rest of the game.

Could I get banned for using the exploit one round in a competitive, gold match? Is it a good reason to report my team who kept insisting on me doing the exploit, and "sabotaging"?(bodyblocking me, insulting, constantly avoiding me during attack, etc)

Sorry if the text is a mess, english is not my main lenguage

Can we talk about how there are STILLLLL no good countermeasures against leavers in comp games??

    Posted: 27 Nov 2020 05:48 PM PST

Just finished a comp game with a 3 stack and had one leaver and got absolutely dominated by the other team. CSGO lets you control the bot of the player that d/cd why does valorant not apply this towards the game. If not that, overwatch has a system where it ends the game if they leave early. I literally don't understand the devs are sleeping on this for so long.

I made this keycap with polymer clay! I know it might not be the best in terms of even shape, but I still love it as it is my first ever custom keycap! Custom Valorant Polymer Clay Keycap

    Viper Cosplay by @SiljasCostumes

Hey everyone! I just wanted to share my Viper cosplay with the community, Cinetry Cosplay (photographer), propmaker and I worked super hard on this shoot. ñ.ñ The weapon I'm carrying is the Phantom and was made by The Graveyard Props. I made the poison vials, backpack thing and belt!
Funny story about this shoot, the location is an old laser tag facility and the owner decided to hop in the shoot with a costume made entirely out of LEDs. XD It was actually kind of cute since he was really excited to get photos taken.

I'd love to get some feedback from you all, thank you so much for reading!

How do you determine if you're going to rank up or not?

    Posted: 28 Nov 2020 08:56 AM PST

I've been confused with this thing since there are no indications Iike points to know how many do you need to climb to the next rank. I am playing for 2 months and I am still in Iron 1. I had a 5 win streak with decent standing (higher kills than deaths) but confused as to why I am not climbing up.

MSPaint Infographic: how to smoke an entrance correctly so it doesn't accidentally benefit the enemy team

    Posted: 28 Nov 2020 01:47 PM PST

    Here it is

A lot of people smoke too far out from entrances, which allows people to push up into the smoke, and use the part of the smoke that's sticking out for cover from different angles as they do so. If you want somebody to not push an area, that's no good.

The solution is to make it so the edge of the smoke is flush with the entrance, without a big chunk of the smoke sticking out. That way they have no ability to use your smoke against you.

So I guess the tip is twofold: prevent enemies from using your own smokes to their advantage, but also here's how you can take advantage of self-smokes and bad smokes by the enemy.

    Pickup Sports Etiquette

    Posted: 27 Nov 2020 11:28 PM PST

In ranked games, don't say things that you wouldn't say in a face to face pickup sport game to your teammates. I will respect you as long as you are genuinely trying to win and communicating even if you go 0-21. I play a sport for my college and play a lot of pickup in our school's gym. Everybody is positive and I always have a great time even though I play with beginners in a sport I play competitively at a high level because there is a level of mutual respect. Don't be toxic in ranked.

Idea: On the day of the first strike finale, Riot should hire an orchestra to play the notes for each kill, LIVE.

    Posted: 28 Nov 2020 12:14 AM PST

Imagine there being a real orchestra that will play the kill audio cue (the orchestral hit) on command as the players get kills. That would be EPIC. Adds a whole lot of grandeur to the whole tournament environment. What do you guys think?

More Crosshair Options, what do you think about this?

    Posted: 28 Nov 2020 10:12 AM PST

Hi, do you also think we should have access to more Crosshair forms, Colors? Some People like me want Orange, Black or Brown Crosshaircolor and it's a shame we can't use the color we actually want. Also, if possible, i would also try/use a Crosshair that has maybe more colors like White in the center and an other one at the other part. like a rainbow effect with 2-3 colors. That's just an idea but my main problem is that we have not enough Crosshair options. the ones we have already are somehow boring. We should have at least a Crosshair in X-Form, O-Form, default WIthout the upper line, and also it would be awesome if we could decide how much the crosshair split apart when shooting when you activate the option firing error. for me its to much how wide the split is actually...

I think this also shouldn't be difficult to make it available.

Sorry for my not so perfect english. I hope its still understandable...

    Gravity - Agent Concept

    Posted: 28 Nov 2020 05:33 AM PST

They notice my presence, they understand my existance. Just a few will see the face of Gravity.

    - Gravity

    Role: [WIP]

    Lore:

Gravity is an agent on contract to bring the Kingdom down. This stealthy soldier uses gravity to his bidding, finishing enemies before they can even see him.

    -----------

    Abilities:

    G-Nade

Pressing the ability will equip a grenade. Pressing the fire button (left click) will throw the grenade to a said location, holding down the fire button will make Gravity control the grenade's trajectory through his ability to manipulate... gravity (exactly like Jett's smokes). The grenade will explode shortly after the first bounce on a surface.

After equipping the G-Nade, right clicking will make Gravity equip both his G-Nades and he will be able to throw them at the same time for more damage and more area of explosion.

    Charges: 2 / Cost: 200 / Damage: 70 or 120

    Control

Press to equip. Left click to grab an enemy projectile mid air or fallen weapon. When Controlling something, left again to throw the controlled item.

Charge: 1 / Recharge after 2 kills / 0.75sor 1s time window after left clicking for getting Control of an enemy ability or fallen weapon.

Portal - Pressing will equip the ability. Left clicking to a wall will mark that wall with a destination portal and clicking again in another wall will open a portal between the two. (just like the portal game. makes sense for his kit). You can see nor shoot anything through an Active Portal if you are more than 5 or 10 meters away from it. Portal works both ways, anyone can go in.

Ult Points: 7 / Range to set up entrance and exit: 30 meters / Working Portal Duration: 10 or 15 seconds

Want to stop losing close games? heres a tip

    Posted: 28 Nov 2020 01:58 PM PST

this literally applies to every rank ive played from (d2-radiant)
i understand the kills in a 4v2 situation or a 5v3 seem mad juicy but please stop hunting(UNLESS YOU AGREE TO GO AS A WHOLE TEAM TO FUCK ENEMYS ECONOMY), i cant even fucking count on my fingers how many situations like these i lose DAILY because people just go and take 1v1s post getting the lead and just throw the round which MOST of the time also influences wether you lose the game or not.
I understand its not a scrim but have some fucking common sense will ya.

    Thanks for reading.

Omen smoke deployt shadows are too misleading

    Posted: 28 Nov 2020 08:50 AM PST

Whenever you pull out a smoke as omen, you see a shadow below it if you are in the "real world" mode. Thats meant to show where the smoke will land. But, when you put a smoke somewhere (mostly to make a one way) it just falls down even though the shadow was on a higher up object. This needs fixing.

What are the components of a good player?

    Posted: 28 Nov 2020 08:54 AM PST

Basically the title. I tried finding videos about this but nothing is coming up. I'm a plat 1 and I know I'm not good but I really want to improve. Are there any specific parts of my gameplay that I should heavily focus on improving? I mainly play Omen but I haven't been doing well on him so I transitioned to Reyna and Cypher. Obviously, I need to play the game more, but I don't have much time these days but I'm willing to work hard. My goal before the end of this season is to hit at least plat 3. Thanks for any help.

Advice from Valorant Coaches & Managers toward players

    Posted: 28 Nov 2020 10:03 AM PST

I've had the best night playing Valorant yet today.

    Posted: 27 Nov 2020 10:18 PM PST

TLDR: After 3 acts I finally learned that
    1) If I don't feel like my aim is warmed up, it isn't, and I should play until I feel like it. Using the spike plant/defuse is a really good practice(at least for me).
    2) Invite good players to play together, it's way better than to wait the matchmaking system to randomly pick someone for your team.

I'll try to stay on topic, but I've got a lot of things to say, lol.First off, I remember seeing a guy post here one time that practicing on the practice range with the spike plant/defuse did a lot for his aiming, prefiring and crosshair placement, and I've got to say: Yep, it does seem to work. Today I was kinda bored and felt my aim was kinda sluggish even after playing for a bit, so I spent some time on the practice range until I could consistently finish it on hard, without abilities. Only after that, I got to comp.

So, the first match. Our team was fine, and the enemy was too. They started winning, but when we got to defend, even with our Sova disconnecting for around 3 rounds, we managed to get back on top. The first half was 5-7, the final result was 13-9. I got MVP, with 30/20/5.

By the way, by the normal standards of comp around Bronze, I got to say, my first team was really good. Only one afk that returned, a guy fragging as much as me(25k) and the rest giving us good support. But I didn't mention this because on the second match, I felt like I was around friends, tbh.

So, match starting and... everyone using their mic. Yep, just like that. I was easy match tbh, and I even dropped an Ace getting more agressive on Omen. First half went 10-2. They surrendered when we won the pistol round on defense. I got MVP again, ending up with 17/6/2.

The third match was great too. I played 3 guys from the first game and one guy from the second game. The first half started kinda scary, as I thought there could be some smurfs on the other team and when we were losing to 2-3 something just clicked. We won every round after that, with the first half ending in 9-3, and no second half as they surrendered again. It sounds like an easy game, but they were playin really well. Their plays were coordinated, but it seems some of them lacked the game knoledge. Oh yeah, almost forgot. I got my second ace of the night on this game. Ended up with match MVP the third time, with 18/6/1.

After these three matches, I stopped playing. Y'know, I'm not a player with 10k hours on CS. The only other FPS I played was Quake Champions(230h) and insurgency(100h). And on neither of them I felt like I was good or anything. Stopped playing QC because of matchmaking times(like, no one plays that, never mind on ranked) and Insurgency because I got kinda bored of it and most of its player base moved to the newer game when it launched.

On act 1 I peaked silver 2, and after that most of my friends stopped playing, so I've been soloqueueing on bronze since around Act 2. This streak of games made me think about inviting more random players that play well(using comms, not being an asshole, etc) to play with. I've never felt too comfortable queueing with strangers, but now I think I'll start playing unranked before comp and getting people there to play with.

Anyway, I feel like this subreddit has a lot of people complaining about their matchmaking, and I don't disagree. Comp matchmaking can be a bitch, and we should complain about it, so that it gets better. I don't like the "you deserve the rank you are" talk because it places the matchmaking system at an uncriticable state. "No, you cannot complain about it, it's the sacred system, nothing about it is bad." But I do think we have to praise the game when it actually provides us some nice games. We do love the game, after all.

Anyway, thanks for reading. Hope the best of luck for you! :)
