| Video Games and Mental Health - American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Charity Stream Posted: 03 Apr 2021 10:14 AM PDT This month I lost someone extremely close to me because they took their own life. Bradley was an incredible person and should not be gone at 22 years old. He was basically a brother to me and we really bonded through video games. I want this to serve as a reminder to anyone who is struggling that it is okay to reach out, to get help, and to talk to people. So many people struggle with this, but just feel like they are alone or that it isn't an issue. Personally, I am someone who struggles with this and I never felt like I needed to share anything or be open with people. You are not a burden to anyone. People do care. You are never alone. Mental Health is something that many people in the gaming community struggle with and it is not talked about enough. I know many people who play games to escape reality, decompress when they aren't feeling well, or just to connect with friends that they have. It is important as a community to come together and make sure we look out for one another. Sometimes flame or raging comes from a place of struggle. Don't forget to take care of yourself, take breaks, and be there for the people around you. When this post is 3 hours old, I will be going live to do a charity stream in Bradley's honor. I want it to be a place where I can remember the good times I had playing with my friend, have open discussion about mental health with the community, and hopefully raise some more to help more people. | Yoru can plant while invincible? Posted: 02 Apr 2021 05:41 PM PDT Yoru can plant the spike while invincible. I'm not sure if this is intended but if it is it's very powerful. Yoru must have the bomb and then throw down his teleport. After he throws down his teleport he uses his ultimate and then uses the teleport, Yoru can now plant the bomb. I experimented with trying to plant without using the teleport first but it didn't work. In the example clip, you can see how Yoru can essentially plant on A site Ascent for free without taking any damage. Seems kinda busted to me, what are your opinions on this? edit: I tried it on defense to defuse but that doesn't work. [link] [comments] | ||

Not because I was born in 2020 lmao.) I have a few ideas (mainly one) for what Riot Games could do for its FPS game's one-year anniversary.

| Viper for dummies (Viper is the best and you’re all wrong) Posted: 03 Apr 2021 11:35 AM PDT I thank all of you for complaining about Viper, because the best agent is now a best-er agent. Viper was always the underdog of controllers, but that made it all the sweeter when you dominated the enemy team. Toxic screen: The BEST smoke in the game. This is because Valorant's top engineers made it L O N G. People love long things: long cats, long walks on the beach, long |} | € |< $. You can cut any area in half and cover aalllll the angles with this baby. Astra wishes she was Viper so she could use a wall every round. Since the screen is so long, use it to quickly gain deep map control. Poison cloud: Sure Viper has only one, but she has so much control over it. She can choose when her smoke drops, relocate it in seconds, hide in it like a mini-ult, and toss it onto the skinniest of ledges to make one-ways. It's like the Swiss Army knife of smokes; you can come up with a number of different applications and use them on the fly. And now that it deals 50 decay damage instantly, you'll be even angrier when someone strolls through your smokes and somehow kills you. Snakebite: Although this ability seems easy to use, it isn't basic at all. (That's an acid joke.) This ability effectively cuts health in half thanks to its debuff, so if someone walks through a smoke into a snakebite, they'll be left with basically 50 hp at most. Now, this is a note to all Viper mains, do not save these for lineups. You should use them for clearing corners and denying entry mostly. If you still have them after taking a site and your team is disadvantaged, then go for lineups. Viper's pit: Easily Viper's best ability. Everyone respects this ult. Why? Because just seconds after entering, an enemy reaches critical health and could die from spraying-and-praying, a sudden molly, breathing a bit too hard, etc. All the while, Viper could be in any corner, ready to strike. At least, that's what the enemies think until they hear a whoosh, the viper's pit drops, and they're a bunch of 1 hp fish out of water. Moral of the story: Constantly breathing toxic fumes gives Viper mains galaxy brains. [link] [comments] | ||

| Looking for 30+ discord server Posted: 03 Apr 2021 09:26 AM PDT Just curious if there is a discord server out there for 30 yo and up to play rank games with. I've been playing with a bunch of 20 something since beta but as of late they have been just too toxic, immature and jealous if you progress in rank. I'm just done dealing with all that bullshit. Its mentally draining and constant blaming when losing rank matches. Due to work and family life, my hours are limited but I am plat 2 right now. Posted: 03 Apr 2021 09:09 AM PDT This isn't a professional study on Valorant by any means but I am curious if toxic players will lean toward a type of agent due to play style. Think back to some of the most toxic players you've come across and if you remember their agent type please select them down below. And please feel free to talk about agents in specific in the comments I just don`t have enough poll options to add all the agents. I`m gathering info from other places as well in 7 days when the poll is done ill will post all the info together. Someone does something wrong or misses a shot and instead of being like NT (nice try) or no worries you'll get them next time, they shit on them. In what world is that going to help someone play better? Yes sometimes it tilts people and they perform better but that's equally as likely as them just giving up completely because 'they suck'. No one cares if you're top frag or w/e if you're a toxic mess. [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 03 Apr 2021 09:44 AM PDT It takes nearly 8-10 minutes for Spike Rush and even longer to find Unrated matches so in order to find quick fast matches they made a new smurf (1 is radiant the other immortal) and queue ranked on gold accounts with my friends. which makes me wonder why the fuck there even is MMR in game modes like Spike Rush and Unrated since they're MEANINGLESS game modes and only played for fun with friends or for daily missions [link] [comments] |
