    Greetings Agents!

    New patch, new Bug mega. To avoid bugs report cluttering the subreddit and/or going unnoticed we will get a single Megathread which will be posted today and after every patch so that you guys can report the various issues in one place. This allows Riot to easily keep track of the bugs by providing a central hub and also allows other users to confirm that they might have encountered.

    Patch notes 3.0

    Prerequisites to be noted before reporting a bug


    1. A bug will ideally be accompanied with a screenshot or a video. This provides credibility to your report.
    2. Steps to recreate the bugs should be submitted if possible. This helps Rioters recreate the bug and helps them find the cause behind it.

    Format when reporting a bug: When reporting a bug, please provide as much information as you can about your computer.

    Region: The region you're playing in when you encountered the bug

    Type of Bug: Client Bug, In Game Bug, etc.

    Description: Describe what was the bug that occurred.

    Video / Screenshot: Insert screenshot (F12 in game) or Video of the bug occurring.

    Steps to reproduce: Provide the steps necessary if someone else had to reproduce the bug.

    Expected result: What should have been the result when you follow the steps mentioned above.

    Observed result: What was the result you obtained when you followed the steps mentioned above?

    Reproduction rate: If you try to recreate the bug how successful are you in causing it to occur? (1/10 : Occurs once every 10 tries, 5/10 : Occurs 5 times out of 10, 10/10 : Happens every single time)

    System specs: Processor, Video card, Ram, HDD/SSD, everything you can provide, even drivers.


    Example Bug:

    Region: EU

    Type of Bug: Matchmaking

    Description: Matchmaking doesn't work properly

    Insert Video / Screenshot of the incident

    Reproduction rate: 10/10 (happened 10 out of 10 times)

    Steps to reproduce: Try to launch a game

    Expected result: Match starting

    Observed result: Getting stuck in infinite queue

    System Specs: Intel i5 Processor, Windows 7, Nvidia Graphics card (insert model number) etc.

    Full Artwork Banner Removed After Agent Select Screen

    Anyone else really bummed out that they removed the artwork on the banners after agent select and changed it to a tiny square? I really liked the artwork from all the various designs and it looked great when it spanned your entire player card.

    KAY/O Ult glitch? See through walls??

    Is this just a glitch? I ulted and then seen the supressed triangle on an enemy through a wall and was able to wallbang them.

    Within the first 5 hours of Act III being out in NA got stuck in a 56 round game

    Account Level System Broken: Everyone is Level 7

    Despite time played, everyone seems to have been set to Level 7. I have some friends who have played hundreds of hours more than me and they are Level 7, same as me. With over 10 people online right now, all of them are Level 7. Is there going to be a fix for this? I've been playing since Closed Beta and would like my level to reflect that.

    Why aren't Ability Durations (Radius, Range, Damage etc) listed clearly within the game?

    These seems like a fairly simple features. Why doesn't Riot show clearly on the ability tooltip pages things like the amount of damage they do? It would be really helpful to immediately be able to access information in the game like smoke durations, or the visible range someone can see a nanoswarm or alarmbot. We see similar kinds of information on ability tooltips in MOBAs for example.

    The alarmbot had a cooldown of 7s and turret had 10s, now both of them are 20s, doesnt make much sense.
    How are you to hold flank with util if youre rotating and they both have cooldown of 20s each?
    Before, you could keep the alarm bot to watch flank till the turret came back and then switch again as you moved up, but now killjoy on attack is hardly viable.

    Players should have the ability to customize their Player Card, Banner, and Avatar

    Like many players, I was very disappointed at the fact that loading screen banners got turned into loading screen avatars. Many of us want banners back but I believe that this is also a great opportunity for Riot to add more personalization for players. With so many player cards collected this year it would be nice to see an option to customize not only just our player card but which one we want for our avatar and our banner. I did a few edits in photoshop to show what the collections screen could look like and what the loading screen could look like as well.

    Personally, I really like the skin. Looks very similar to the Reaver and Forsaken bundles.

    Patch 3.0

    Obviously haven't played yet but this patch is fire. People complaining about "They are trying to turn Val into CS" lmfao. This game is a Tac shooter, the ability spamming was hurting that title for awhile now. Abilities will be even more important than ever now, just have to be more strategic on when and where to use them. I have been commenting about the abilities hurting the game for a long long time now. I think the devs may have finally figured it out. You want to climb? practice aim and learn game sense. Spamming flashes and molly's can no longer save you

    Did you guys get a FPS increase?

    I was playing at 150 fps with quality sets on minimum (during intense gun fight).

    Now I'm playing at a minimum of 200 with quality sets on maximum, which is around what I used to get a while ago, before my FPS dropped a lot.

    It feels a lot smoother now!

    Did not receive Radionite points

    So I started today/new act with only 5 Radionite points (imma just call them RP). I instantly got the battle pass before starting my first match.

    After the match, got passed tier 2 of the Year 1 Anniversary pass, which is 10 RP, as well as passed tier 3 of the battle pass, which is another 10 RP. So the total should be 25 RP with the previous 5 I started with, yet I'm only at 15.

    I was wondering if this was a bug, or if maybe the anniversary pass didn't give you the rewards until it was finished, or any other explanation. Any help appreciated.

    Made a table to find the equivalence between ranks in Valorant & CSGO.

    Table (Valorant as reference).

    Due to the grouping, it's indeed impossible to find a perfect fit.

    Example of how to read the data:

    • SMFC equivalent to Diamond 2 till Immortal.
    • SEM & GN1 combined are equivalent to Bronze 2 (the bottom 35% of the player base).

    Here is the opposite table:

    Table (CSGO as reference).

    Again, due to the segmentation differences, we will see some ranks being shifted, thus:

    • SMFC can either start from Diamond 1 or Diamond 2.
    • Parts of Immortal can be equivalent to GE or SMFC.

    Account leveling should be used to fight smurfs like in League.

    not right off the bat, but there should be a smurf queue later on where new accounts are often matched against other new accounts and the smurfs are mostly playing against other smurfs.

    was this talked about by any dev?

    Amazing 3.0 patch, but how hard is it to add outline to round timer when its red?

    For someone who plays with 100% digital vibrance it is almost impossible to see how many seconds is there left in the round when the timer changes the font to red and also background is red. Just adding a black outline to the font would fix this and I can't imagine how hard can that be considering everything they just changed in 3.0.

    My thoughts on Phantom vs Vandal

    I used to be among the "Phantom only", crowd but I realized something interesting/funny. The Phantom is the better gun in high elo, such as D3 and Immortal because your teammates will fight alongside with you, and you're usually fighting multiple players at once. It's the better gun for 5-man rushing a site, and defending a rush.

    In lower elos around Plat and below, the enemy will more frequently dry peek you much more than in Immortal. Also you will only be facing one enemy at a time usually. That's why in low elo, the Vandal is the better gun. If your aim is better, it's easy pickings because everyone just dry peeks.

    So basically, Phantom for high elo and pro play where there's more coordination, which means there's more multi-player fights happening at once.

    Vandal for lower elo where there are more solo dry peeks, and there won't be as many situations where multiple players will peek you at the same time.

    Deathmatch changes missing in Patch Notes 3.0

    These patch notes seem great.

    Huge changes for a better experience, but where are the deathmatch changes. They talked about this months ago. It's so frustrating to wait for it. Deathmatch makes me sick, I need my efficient aim warm up/practice.
