Here’s what your role ACTUALLY should do, instead of those vague descriptions rito gives us Posted: 15 Aug 2021 07:38 AM PDT Edit: This is NOT an advanced guide for all players. This is a guide to give a basic rundown of each role for iron-bronze players who are still relatively new and are trying to figure out their role. In low elo, I've seen a LOT of players pick an agent, then not use them properly or effectively, or not know what they do at all. The role descriptions are kind of vague, and it also varies from character to character. Here's my perspective, so hopefully this helps some people out: Sentinel: Your job is to lock down/protect a site or your team. It varies by character, but generally, you're either holding a site or covering your team's rear end. This could be the flank, or post-plant. Initiator: Your job is to scramble the opponents, and make the other teammates' jobs easier. You want to make space, push the opponent back or apart, and generally make their lives more difficult. Sova's info and shocks, breach's flashes and concuss, etc, are all ways to accomplish this. This one's actually pretty well explained in game. Controller: Cut enemy vision, take control (surprise surprise) of an area, and force enemies into choke points. Simple, repetitive, and vital to a team's ability to win. Duelist: And finally, the duelists. Valorant describes them as "self-sufficient fraggers" which, to an extent, is the case. Their kits are primarily based in fragging, ie raze's explosives or reyna's self-heal. Each has to played a different way, although generally you're the one to be playing picks, entry fragging, etc. (The exception here is yoru, with yoru you want to lurk, and play like an initiator. Sometimes you can entry frag but if you watch ziptie, ethos, or red, you'll find they play a lot of flank and lurk over entry) Now, each character has a playstyle better suited for them. I'm not an expert by any means, but especially in the case of individual agents. This is a general guide for noobies who need a better understanding of the roles. If you have anything to add please leave it down below! Just don't leave comments insulting my breakdown, especially if it's unhelpful to the post. Thanks! P.S: Each agent has an individual sub-role that affects the team's synergy. i.e sage and skye have healing abilities that may not necessarily fit into the description of their role above. Every agent is played differently, and can be play in different ways. [link] [comments]

What sounds can the enemy team hear? Posted: 15 Aug 2021 07:53 AM PDT Aside from the obvious ones, such as footsteps, shots and reloads. Can the enemy hear when you switch from knife to gun? Can they hear when you equip an ability (ie Sage wall)? [link] [comments]

Posted: 15 Aug 2021 11:46 AM PDT Hello everyone! I made this video to cover some really powerful KJ Lockdown and Nano combo setups. Sorry if this video took very long. I tried to make it as descriptive and as helpful as I can. Feel free to enjoy! [link] [comments]
Potential fix for top right screen graph settings bug Posted: 15 Aug 2021 08:01 AM PDT Apparently, this bug is caused by the game saving the data in the wrong address (I'm not a programer so I might be wrong) but what is shown in your screen isn't random so there is a specific setting for every option there:
These are the most used ones and I don't know about the other options. Hope they fix it soon. [link] [comments]

Checking valorant store without logging on Posted: 15 Aug 2021 07:04 AM PDT So sometimes I just want to check the store without logging on, and I searched for a bit and found a website called www.valorant.store, and I was wondering if it's safe/allowed to be used. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]

Why is Paytm not there anymore? Posted: 14 Aug 2021 11:15 PM PDT Has valorant removed the paytm option completely? Spline spectre came in my store today which I really want to buy but there is no paytm anymore. What to do? [link] [comments]
What is your preferred sidearm when OPing? Posted: 15 Aug 2021 10:41 AM PDT Some people like the slower, precise feeling of the sheriff, and some people like the close-ranged consistency of the shorty. I have even seen a few people use the frenzy to great effect. This poll is in no way to find the "best" sidearm for OPing, but to see the community's opinions. [link] [comments]

Custom Agent Idea: The Don (Revised) Posted: 15 Aug 2021 03:45 AM PDT Class: Sentinel [Manhunt]: The Don communes with an unknown ephemereal being. Cursing the strongest enemy with a Vermin effect for the entire round. Killing a "vermin" will reward the allied killer 200 credits and assists 100 credits.
EDITED: [Bygones]: Light a cigarrete, seething with crimson red smoke. Allowing you to select a corpse to incinerate, preventing resurrection and granting you 1 ultimate point for each body.
[Devil's Advocate] (Signature): Carve a symbol on the ground, marking an area (as large as a recon dart's scan) as your territory. Allies move and reload 15% faster inside the territory. Playing a whistle-like sound when "Vermins" are within the territory.
[Old Friend] (Ultimate): Manifest an ornate infernal slug action shotgun. Each shot fires a single large pellet that explodes into burning fragments upon impact and takes 20 health away from the Don. Incerate enemies killed.
Shitty agent backstory: The Don and his men are an enigma. They conquer the equally enigmatic low-life society hiding within Italy, with strange and ornate firearms. Feeling generous, the Don went out of his way to offer some his "toys" to Kingdom and weed out the nefarious "double-agents". [link] [comments]
How much does referesh rate matter in Valorant? Posted: 15 Aug 2021 12:05 PM PDT I am currently playing on a 30Hz minitor and I was wondering if upgrading to 60 or 144Hz would improve my performance. I currently get 130fps out of my setup and I was wondering if my screen could be bottlenecking the performance that I'm getting. [link] [comments]
