Best agents currently? Posted: 16 Aug 2021 10:01 AM PDT IMO it's Skye, Sova, Viper as the clear cut top 3. If you have these three agents it makes the game a lot easier. Combine with 1 duelist and a sentinel and your team has so much useful utility and info. This trio works on every map other than Split imo. Thoughts? VALORANT Lore Part 3 - Viper Posted: 16 Aug 2021 07:04 AM PDT Viper is a scientist and Radianite technology user coming from Alaska, USA. She is Agent 02 of the VALORANT Protocol, the second agent to join the organisation, and alongside fellow agent Brimstone, is a leading member and founder of it. Viper uses an array of self developed poisonous chemical devices to cripple the enemy's vision and control the battlefield, wearing them down both physically and mentally. She enjoys playing mind games on her weakened opponents, observing their downfall with great interest. Once a brilliant scientist and researcher, she no longer thinks clearly, having become hateful and biased in her research. She possesses a very sadistic personality, thriving on the enemy's suffering and preferring to slowly and painfully execute her prey. She is also extremely sociopathic, caring little for the safety of herself or those around her and showing no remorse for the pain she inflicts. Origin During her youth, Viper earned a doctorate in chemistry and she initially joined Kingdom, with the goal of wanting to help the world. She used her knowledge to heal others and was a part of Kingdom's Radianite project. She helped convince the people of Bind to build the Radianite refinery complex, and eventually, her research led her to discover many secrets at the cost of unconventional and unethical experiments. At some point, something happened that would change her forever. Viper later noted that the event took "everything" from her, and is likely the cause of her sadistic nature today. As a result of everything that took place, Viper turned to a path of vengeance. She used the Radianite technology she had closely been studying with Kingdom to create her own poisonous chemical devices, including gas emitters, chemical sprayers and chemical launchers. Later, she and her former Kingdom colleague Brimstone founded the VALORANT Protocol, a covert, self-serving operation to protect her home from the global Radianite events ravaging the planet. Relationships Astra Astra feels a level of sympathy for Viper, believing her antagonistic personality is not her fault and constantly tells Viper that she is better than all this. At the moment, Viper has not commented on her relationship with Astra. Breach Much to the disagreement of Brimstone and some fellow agents, Viper reached out to Breach and personally hired him into VALORANT. They have a mutual respect and friendship with each other, and Viper comments that she does not regret hiring him at all. Brimstone Brim and Viper are the two leading members of VALORANT and have known each other for some time before VALORANT, as they both work for Kingdom. They display signs of a friendship, however at times Viper can act distant towards the soldier. She takes a strong disliking to his moral approach to leadership. Both know a lot of information they have not yet revealed to the others, and they hide the fact that Kingdom is secretly backing the protocol. Cypher Viper is known to approach Cypher about the information he collects about the Earth 2 Agents. However, their relationship is strictly professional. Killjoy Viper and Killjoy are the two scientists of the group and work together on developing Radianite technology and running tests on the field. Although Killjoy is aware of the corrosion Viper's mind has suffered, she is still looked down upon by the scientist. Omen When Omen was a human, both him and Viper worked together as lab partners on Kingdom's Radianite project. The two developed a close friendship, however when Omen sacrificed himself after a lab accident to save the other workers, they grew distant towards each other. Omen recalls her name and that they were once friends, however she keeps a lot of information about his past from him. Reyna Before VALORANT, Viper experimented on Reyna's little sister. Whether it was with good or bad intentions is unknown, however the experiments failed resulting in the death of or harm to her. This has caused animosity between the two, however, possibly due to Reyna not knowing Viper's true identity, this is not reflected in game. Sage In the past, both Viper and Sage crossed paths and worked together on something, however Sage was unable to do what she was expected. This has caused Viper to be extremely bitter and resentful toward Sage about it in the present, and although Sage offers to help Viper, she refuses, believing Sage is not capable of doing so. A comprehensive guide to how to play each Agent: Posted: 15 Aug 2021 07:44 PM PDT I see a lot of posts saying that "this agent should do this" or "that agent should do that" well sometimes they are right but here is an in depth way to play each agent: Astra: Place all 5 of your stars at the start of the round and use one to smoke then die Breach: Use your full kit at the start of round to secure entrances, make sure not to secure sight or the game will be too easy Brimstone: Place all three smokes in a line so enemies will not have a line of sight. Once spike is planted IMMEDIATELY use ur molly straight down Cypher: make sure you are on cam more than you actually play Jett: insta lock, win Kay/O: make sure to talk about the in depth lore how Kay/O is Killjoy's sex robot to your teammates Killjoy: make sure to talk about the in depth lore how Kay/O is Killjoy's sex robot to your teammates AND place turret in cross fire angles Omen: only talk in a deep, raspy voice to fully be immersed, bonus points if you say something edgy like "night is my home that's why I hate the sunrise" or something Phoenix: Ult for info, never for frags. Raze: blast pack behind enemy team, die, repeat x13 rounds Reyna: bind all your buttons (from pinging to abilities) to your fire button (for me it's "," on the keyboard) so you can dismiss and heal at the same time Sage: this is a common mistake, but everyone thinks to use their wall to wall, but you actually should use your wall to peek. How to increase mental capacity? Posted: 16 Aug 2021 09:57 AM PDT I feel like im getting pretty good at Valorant yet, I can only play for so long until I get exhausted. I can't really play that many games, maybe 3-4 before my head gets tired. When you get to a certain skill level I feel like you always have to think, OK sage is usually on a long and she isn't with her team pushing our spike at c which means she is probably flank. While im at it i can smoke garage while holding long... I don't get how streamers and pro's can play like this for long. Maybe im just overthinking but maybe anyone got any tips on how I can play well and play a lot at the same time? Strangest Match Ever Posted: 16 Aug 2021 12:39 AM PDT As the title suggests, I just finished the weirdest match I have ever encountered in Valorant. As soon as the match began, my four teammates all ran forward into the wall and didn't move. I thought; "oh great, they're probably a group of friends trolling me". Then I went to the enemy team side hoping to kill at least one person, and to my surprise, all five of them were doing the same thing as my team. Staring at a wall, not moving. I proceeded to kill all 5 of them for the next few rounds, then they insta-surrendered at the start of round 5. I checked the end-of-match scoreboard and sure enough I didn't accidentally joined training mode or whatever, it was a regular unrated match. Sova drone controls with inverted mouse settings Posted: 16 Aug 2021 03:06 AM PDT Hello, I have been playing Valorant since the first day it came out but unfortunately I am unable to enjoy playing Sova because of a issue I have with one of his abilities. I play with inverted Y-axis mouse settings (pls don't ask me why, but I have been playing FPS games like this for over 10 years) and so the drone controls also get inverted. This is not intuitive for inverted mouse players as it is a mouse cursor that you move around (similar to how you would in Windows). I have seen a few other posts on reddit which have been archived but until now nobody seems to know how to resolve this. From Riot there hasn't been any reply either, perhaps because of the relatively low number of players with inverted mouse settings. I am hoping that Riot will still sort this out by either disabling the invert mouse feature for the Sova drone or at least add an option in the settings to change this specifically for the drone controls.
