My teammates left, so we played infected

Early on in an unrated game my teammates left me to play a game 1v5. Mama didn't raise a quitter so I stuck it out and told the opposing team that my teammates had left and I was going to play it out. So we continued to play and the other team decided to make it interesting. They were dead set on playing infected, a known game mode across FPS where one person has a knife and tries to infect the other players by killing them. The only difference here was that they all had the knifes out and I was the one with the gun. One of the most fun games I have yet to play and some of the most genuine people I have ever gotten to play with. They even let me win the game and partied up with me after the match. Here's a screenshot from post game. Definitely the most kills I've ever gotten, thanks to those guys :)

    Radianite

    Posted: 16 Jun 2020 09:07 AM PDT

So i have done the math here, say you want to buy the whole Sovereign bundle, thats 7100 VALORANT points, thats either 5800 points + 2250 VALORANT points (adds up to £69.98) or buy the 12000 points and have some left over (which is £99.99).

Say you don't buy the battle pass but you want this bundle, you would need to buy 250 Radianite points, which equals to 3 x 80 Radianite Points and an extra 20 Radianite points if you wanted the knife VFX - this equates to 16000 VALORANT points, which means an extra £99.99 (12000 Points) + £34.99 (4000 points) to buy these points.

This is hands down ridiculous and should not be the concept of the game, these points need to be removed, and the battlepass should be giving VALORANT points commonly seen like every other game that has implemented this feature, it just feels like a sick money making scheme (of course). I understand the criticism behind the skins, but this is a different story, these points should not exist, especially when you buy the battlepass, there is no known battlepass skins in which use these points allow an upgrade.

Changes to this system is needed. ASAP.

VALORANT PRO FACEIT - NA and EU

VALORANT PRO FACEIT - NA and EU

Hey there, everyone. I am elven and I am the owner of the VALORANTPRO: esports oriented VALORANT community. Today I want to share with you something that I believe can help any aspiring competitive player improve, network and, ultimately, shine at the game.

I want to present you the VALORANTPRO FACEIT HUB:
    https://www.faceit.com/en/organizers/e6477567-fab0-43dd-92d3-29228a6d9bc8/VALORANTPRO

    https://preview.redd.it/znpurtv5n9551.png?width=709&format=png&auto=webp&s=58ecb23c8e765a62064da077f3854d207831adef

    What is a FACEIT Hub?
FACEIT Hub is an organizer page on a FACEIT platform, that is used for hosting competitive matches. FACEIT players tend to be slightly more competitive than those who play in casual or ranked, thus making the overall exeprience better (from the competitive perspective, ofcourse).

    Can anyone play there?
Yes, anyone can play there. As you can see above, we split the hub into divisions: Open, Challenger, Preinvite and Invite. As the name suggests, everyone can start in Open. When you play and win, you get FACEIT elo. When you have enough FACEIT elo - you level up. Once your level reaches certain point, you can join next division (Challenger in this case). Preinvite and Invite divisions are a bit more exclusive, but you can qualify there aswell.

How does this work? Is this automated?
Right now, there is no 100% VALORANT integration on FACEIT - everything done in manual mode. It may sound weird at first - but once you try you will see that the experience is fully worth it. We have a team of 100+ staff members 24/7 answering your tickets, issues, helping with results and processing player reports. Every day we add more to help deal with increasing amount of players. So, how do you play? Simple. You sign up, join q and... that's it! From there, when match is found, everything is straightforward. Once you played it out - Captains simply submits the score!

    Why play on FACEIT?
Competitive experience. Open Division is limited to Solo/Duo only, while higher tier divisions are solo + captain pick only. Players are required to communicate to provide the highest quality experience for everyone. We feel this can help promote hardcore competitiveness, as well as help up and coming players network better. There are also prizes for reaching high positions in Leaderboards.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Interested in giving this a try? All you need is to join our VALORANTPRO Discord, where you will find step-by-step guide on how to join and play as well as everything else you might need regarding pro and competitive VALORANT.

    Good luck.

Movement Inaccuracy is way too little

    Posted: 16 Jun 2020 03:48 AM PDT

People kill me constantly while literally sprinting and coming from CS its really really insane, feels like this game just hands kills to players who dont even really have the crosshair placement or movement to actually get headshots. It really seems to me like it should be tweaked to make those lucky running spray shots a little more rare. The gunplay in general feels really good but i think people should be penalized a bit more for having sloppy movement.

After ending around without taking 0 damage and keeping your 25 shields intact, you should be able to upgrade to full shields by paying 600.

    Elo-based Valorant Team Rankings

    Posted: 16 Jun 2020 01:06 PM PDT

Disclaimer: these rankings should be taken with a grain of salt and are for fun only.

We've released an initial version of Elo-based team rankings @ vlr.gg:

The rankings are based entirely off of matches we have in our database and contain no manual input, so naturally they're constrained by the relatively few matches that have occured in the competitive scene so far.

Only teams with 4 or more matches played are ranked, but all receive a rating.

If any teams seem egregiously misranked, please let us know and we'll hunt down more match data to make these more accurate!

Please play faster on the attacking side, NOT on defence.

    Posted: 16 Jun 2020 04:11 AM PDT

    Hi guys,

I don't mean this to be a rant but more of a push in the right direction for new players - especially for the players often picking duelist characters. I currently still have the agent unlock bug so I have a very limited pool of agents so if my agent is outpicked then I'm usually forced onto Sage or Sova.

Quite often, when I'm on the defending side my team loves to push, flank, rush or whatever, even if they're killed time after time. Learn from your mistakes and stay back a bit - it's okay to flank every now and then but try to be unpredictable. When going on the attacking side, however, no one wants to go first or even follow a push. Your goal as duelists should be to be the first one clearing the site - if I have 4 duelists on my team but I'm still having to be the first one to enter a site as Sage, then it's not going to go well. *Just as a note here, if you are Jett entering a site with dash, it is vital that you communicate with your team or at least ensure that they're behind you because Jett's E is a big gap to close and you may likely be dead before the team has even had a chance to peek.

If you're not confident on entrying a particular site, you should, at the very least, be following the person pushing first so that you can trade them (by that I mean kill the enemy which kills your teammate), as that allows you to enter the site as a 4v4 with the spike down turns the game in favour of the attacking side. I know this is difficult without communication but if you want to practice an Agent and are not sure on its role, it only takes a quick look to see its class or have a quick check on Google. You can also play Spike rush as it's less dependent on teammates.

Thanks for reading - I'm currently thinking of making Valorant guides on YouTube atm including how to manage the economy, aim tips etc, so my aim with this post is merely to make some of you more aware of some of the mechanics of Valorant if you're unfamiliar.

Is Tagging (movement slowdown when hit) way too strong?

    Posted: 16 Jun 2020 01:40 PM PDT

At times I feel it is, and I think the movement speed reduction could be toned down a bit.

    What do you think?
