    I swear to god either I finish in 2/18 or 42/6, no in-between. No close matches, no fair matchups, literally nothing else, either I get matched with people who practiced aim maps for the last 8 years for 5 hours a day, or people who sit in front of a computer for the first time

    Where are all the gold players? plats? where is the average guy?

    So many posts here are so friggin extreme. "No ranked is KILLING this game" "Launching this game without ranked is destroying the fanbase" "I feel like there's nothing to actually play for".

    I mean if playing a free game is crushing your soul. Please do something else. Or at least learn to temper your opinion to a semi sane level. No ranked for this short period is most certainly NOT killing this game. Not everyone got into the beta. A lot of these players are brand new and learning the game. Ranked is gonna be here shortly. "You would like the game more" if ranked were present. THAT would be a fair statement. "Valorant completely ruined the launch of this game by not including ranked!" is not a fair statement. Come back down to earth please!

    Why the fuck am I allowed to get put in a game with a toxic 4 stack, they report me and im com banned for 3 days? They can be as toxic as they want to others and the SoloQ gets banned. I played one game last night after my comm ban it was with a toxic as fuck 4 Q all I told them to do was "shut up" when I was in a 1v2 and they started being toxic and reported me. I wake up this morning to a comm ban. Why does this game hate SoloQ players? Seriously my whole team was earraping and saying the N word and I gurantee they didn't get banned because they are stacked. But I get false reported by a 4 stack and I'm banned for another 3 days? I'm honestly tired of this. I can't fucking take it anymore. I played one game with a com ban and these kids were trying to report me for fucking throwing because I was saving my gun in a 1v4 when I had 20 hp. I can't explain myself so they all just started reporting me. I hate soloQ and riot hates soloQers.

    EDIT: Yes i do mute the toxic 4 stacks screaming the n word but they report me and then i get banned. Ive been banned 3 times each time was directly after a match with a toxic 4 Q who spam reported me. Also ive been in at least 10 games i can recall with toxic 4 Qs either being racist, ear raping, or throwing. So thats why I'm upset because these guys dont get banned because they have power in numbers and i instead do because i choose to soloQ. I like soloQing most of the time but with 4 stacks who are toxic its not fun. Also a side note with these players if you dont talk they report, if you talk they report there is literally no winning with these guys. I suppose I just have to adapt to the toxic environment of the game and find a stack. I was just so used to CS kind community due to having a high trust factor i forgot how toxic the gaming community is. I will try to talk less in my games and i appreciate the advice in the comments :)

    I thought my eyes were just broken, so I started using instant replay. Finally caught one.

    Edit: the comment section here seems to want to attribute the failure to my moving while shooting. I just want to clarify that the issue is that I obviously hit him in the head TWICE, and you can see the shots connecting in the video. Perhaps it wasn't the most effective kill, but that's not the point. This is an issue because despite my shots obviously connecting, they were counted as body shots.

    Intangible isn't invulnerable (Small Reyna tip)

    Hey guys, a quick tip about Reyna that seems to be pretty little known.

    Reyna's E doesn't make her invulnerable, it makes her intangible. What's the difference I hear you ask? Well, invulnerable just means you absorb all the stuff that gets thrown at you and just don't take the damage, while intangible means the stuff doesn't even touch you in the first place. What does this mean?

    Well, say you're getting sprayed by an enemy while you're intangible. This means the bullets are going straight through you. It's not that the damage is just being negated, it's that the bullets just are flying straight through you and not even register you as an entity. So, if an ally was standing behind you and you get sprayed while intangible, the ally would be hit by the bullets.

    But, this intangibility also means that certain abilities don't affect you. You probably already knew that molotovs don't damage you while you're in her E, but did you know that you also don't get affected by the slow from slow orbs? You can also walk straight through trip wires without triggering them, and Sova's recon arrow can't detect you while you're intangible. I haven't tested everything yet, but those are the few that I've noticed already.

    So abuse this! Give a Cypher a false sense of safety from his trip wires and then shoot him from the angle he never expected! Walk straight through that scouting arrow from Sova so he thinks nobody is pushing and then boom, dead! Don't be afraid to reposition striaght through a slow orb, cause that slow orb means nothing to you! It's really the feature I see being most underutilized in her kit.

    No need to go into full details but I think having a bot that you can control would be way better. They could try to do something better but idk, bots seem good enough.

    Edit: some may say that a 4v5 is manageable but from my experience, once I lose 1 teammate, I usually lose a second one too... it's now a 3v5. Is it still manageable now?

    Hi guys,

    i as someone who have really enjoy playing this game in a more supportive role (cuz i can't click heads), i have been playing a lot of Brimstone and Breach who bring lots of utility to the team. i feel like a lot of time i have done some sick flashes or stuns as Breach, or single handedly stop enemy push with Brim, and i feel like the game does not recognize it in the end game screen/scoreboard. sometime i do feel bad cuz my KD could be a total dumpster, and got flame by my teammates, even though i have provided them good usage of utilities from my kits.

    i for sure believe that the devs will have a way to track utilities usage and rate them.

    Are these bumps on the map not disorientating anyone?

    Have encountered these bumps on maps like Ascent and other maps when hugging the wall, its disorientating and could potentially miss a headshot when the star aligned

    When buying a weapon for a teammate, it would be cool if it would have the skin and buddy you have equipped on that weapon.

    I think it would add a nice touch to the game. It would be a way to show off your skins and it might incentivize helping a teammate out when they have no creds. It would also kinda make the skins have more "value" in a way. Anyway that's just an idea I have been thinking about, I hope y'all the best crosshair placement today Agents!

    My friend killed me 1000 times in a custom game with Odin for the lols and my fps went down to 1 FPS, ping to 600+ then my screen went black and I notice this player(?) "Swade" was in the game. Mysterious

    ConstantFPS drops

    Hi,

    I've been playing valorant for about a week, and recently have been suffering extreme frame drops from a steady 180 FPS to 30.

    I'm running an Intel i7-8700k and a 1070 ti, with in game video settings on low to max out my FPS.

    Is there any particular reason why I'm getting such bad frame drops?

    More numbers on battlepass XP progression and my personal thoughts on why it needs rework

    First of all I would like to say that BP XP does not need a total reduction but more of a rework. In detail below I'll illustrate what I mean.

    XP needed to complete BP is 1.375.000 and percentage were already presented by another reddit user. I'll not go into much details here since the other post covers it.

    So I've done some calculation to understand how many matches and hours you need to complete the battlepass. The hypothesis are the following: - a match is 40 min long
    - a match awards 4k XP
    - Weeklies award 45k XP per week (more below)

    So there have dev been comments that XP for first set of Weeklies is around 30k and the last week will award 60k so I'm supposing that the average XP of Weeklies is the average of those two. (below I'll explain that an error here will not change the total hours by much)

    OK now for the numbers:

    1.375.000-45000*9 = 970.000

    Where 9 is the number of weeks. And the result is the BP XP without weeklies

    1.015.000 - 4000 97 =718.000

    Where 9 are the weeks, 7 are days in a week and 4000 is the XP provided by the 2 dailies (supposing you are doing every daily always and this can be easily changed in a sheet)

    Finally 791000/4000 = 197.75

    Where 4000 is XP per match and the result is the number of matches to do per season.

    197.75*40/60 = 131.83 hours of playing in this season considering the 40 min per match

    So in conclusion. If you complete all dailies and all weeklies you will complete the battle pass in 120 hours. For this of you who play 5/7 days like me you will complete the BP with 11 hours more.

    The problem here imo, is not XP but how XP is given.
    29.45% XP comes from weeklies (that's why I said it will not changes hours by much)
    18.33% XP comes from dailies (7/7)
    52.22% XP comes from matches.

    In every other game dailies and weeklies give a gigantic chunk of XP to the BP, but here matches give more XP than quests. Riot said that the BP needed about 100 hours to complete but 120-130 hours is not 100 hours. I think they need to reduce the total amount of hours by awarding more XP for weeklies and dailies.

    Even if riot has problems with pros completing the BP 2 weeks before the end of the season, who cares! Players who play a lot will be drawn in by competitive not the BP. Instead semi casuals like me should be able to complete the BP without stressing to much.

    I've done some calculations and I'm right on schedule, so I will finish this BP, but I don't want to be afraid to miss a week and the farm all the matches I missed that week (you need to do like 2.75 matches per day) . Probably if I go abroad for a trip only for a week I won't be able to complete the BP. It's absurd.

    I hope that riot understands this and buff the XP of weeklies now and for the upcoming seasons. BTW I'm digging this game a lot. Keep up the good work and give me that damn first free agent unlock that is still bugged for me.

    Edit: a user made me notice that the BP is 9 weeks long not 8. I've updated the post but the point remains.

    Anyone else have network issues for no reason?

    I ran a speed test on my internet connection and I'm getting 345 mbs down and 29 up. Every single match I see "Network Problems", "Low Client FPS" and "High Ping Rate" messages in the corner of my game. I'm even hardwired in to my internet. What the fuck is up with this?
