Two crazy easy things low ELO players can start doing to drastically increase their attacking wins Posted: 27 Aug 2020 06:46 AM PDT 1) DEFAULTINGHow many times have you and your teammates just sat at the start of the round and started saying "Lets go A this time!" and 4 of you run on over to A side while one dude goes and sits right on the B main entrance and totally neglect mid? I can see swarths of silvers and below raising their hands This is a brain dead move. One of the best ways to run an attack round is run whats known as a default. Defaulting is where you place 1 to 2 players on each major lane of the map, and you essentially collect intel, bait out utility, collect easy picks on roamers who are pushing up, and gain map control. Intel is everything in this game, and I shouldn't really have to explain its importance. Baiting utility is incredibly important. I would much rather push and plant against a breach who has absolutely nothing to flash me with, than one who has his whole utility at his disposal. Same thing with smokes. Its easier to push on and plant when they have nothing to smoke you with. By just slightly prodding forward, you can make them use their utility on essentially nothing, then use yours to create a massive advantage. In most games, you'll find someone who is very aggressive on defense. By sitting back for a second while defaulting, odds are you will get a pick. Once you get that pick, start focusing the teams efforts towards attacking that site. The defends will be spread out and essentially have to start recklessly rotating to compensate. 5v4 is such a large advantage its stupid. Utilize it when you can. The final, and arguably most important thing you get from defaulting is map control. If you do the classic silver "4 on A, 1 on B, no one mid" scenario, you don't have much map control. Sure its going to be hard to fuck with you guys when youre in front of the main doors at A, but while you and your boys are engaging someone at A, you've given a defender free roam to just sneak in from mid behind you guys and get a shit load of easy picks. Even assuming he only gets one or two of you, you never know if a second one is following up behind them, or where you can safely go assuming you guys decide the pressure at A is too much. Now assuming you run a default where every major lane is taken care of, and you get a pick, you can exploit that area. If I take out someone at mid, its amazing, because odds of being able to freely rotate between the two sites are now in my team's favor. I cancel out the defender ability to rotate as well. Also keep in mind how much time is on the clock. I cant tell you how many times the game ends with like a minute left on the clock in low elo lobbies. That is a shit load of time to make things happen. Rushing in and just fucking dying in the first 30 seconds is kind of idiotic when you consider how much time you have left. All you really need is the last 4 seconds of the round to place the bomb. Then its the post plant phase. 2) SECURING THE SITE AND PLANTING IN THE OPENI cant tell you how many times I've seen in low elo lobbies where people plant the spike on Haven A site behind the crate and as soon as they get on sight. This is another brain dead move. First, because you don't know who else is on that sight. They might screw you while you're planting, and simply have to just sit on the bomb while your teammates come in like fat people on free donut day. Secondly, if defenders complete a successful retake, you give your teammates virtually no option when it comes to stopping the defusal. The only option your teammates really have for stopping a defusal on a spike planted behind the crates on Haven A site are approaching from A long (at a very close distance), or A short (another close distance). Maybe even approaching from CT, but thats a long ass walk thats still kind of out in the open (and at a close distance). The smart play is to clear out the site with a teammate. Each take your time to check corners, check hell, check the crates near A short, and maybe even check heaven if you cant smoke it out or have your boy cover you. The next wise move is to plant right up against the wall to the right of the crate you usually plant on. This spot here has many lines of sight that can lead to easy picks for anyone attempting a defuse. Your teammates can easily and quickly peek the defuse from heaven, from hell, from short, from long. Hell, you can even easily peek it from CT with just a little bit of effort. Basically the whole site is able to peek that spot, making it a nightmare to defuse. Granted, its not as safe off the get go, but assuming you defaulted correctly, and have a teammate helping you, securing the sight and planting is going to decrease the odds defense will defuse. Posted: 27 Aug 2020 12:30 PM PDT I got traumatized playing solo in CSGO. Once they hear my voice and know I'm a girl, I always get harassed and get scary threats. So in order to avoid that, I only played with friends. I tried solo queue-ing one time because my friends were unavailable. But now I got a different remark from my teammate "wHy d0 u sOunD liKe a giRL, r U tRaNs??" All the other guys in my team immediately called him out and said his remark was "fucking homophobic" and asked him why did it even matter. We educated him and he apologized. Posted: 27 Aug 2020 12:48 AM PDT QOL Change If you didn't know, in game you can hit left alt to display what utility/armour your teammates have. I personally mainly use this for finding out if our sage has heals, but you can use it to find out if sova has arrow etc. What my point is, is that usually when the sage doesn't have heals after you check, you still have to ask them how long until the heal is ready. I propose that a little counter is put next the the signature ability, the kills sign for duelists, and then a little count for other classes etc. Lemme know if any of you agree or if you have anything against this I'd be happy to listen. Basically I feel as though the prices for skins aren't made accessible for a wide portion of the game. In order to buy a deluxe skin I would have to put on £20 as it is about 50 VP over the £10 limit. I understand it's a marketing ploy and makes people want to put on the extra money but I feel as though riot could open up their market much more if they simply lowered these prices to fit the threshold. In my personal case, I'm more than happy to put £10 on for a skin which I will use a lot, but £20 just seems overkill. Especially the fact that with what's left I cannot even afford another deluxe skin. Let us choose on which server we want to play Posted: 27 Aug 2020 06:12 AM PDT As you might have noticed, in custom games you can actually go and select where your server will be to ensure everyone playing has the best experience possible. Why isn't this possible in matchmade games? (Unrated, rated etc.) There were countless SEA issues that I've seen here that would simply be fixed by adding an option to choose a server you want to play on, that way you won't end up in a game where everyone hates you just because you're from X country. And just in case you're wondering, playing on a different server CAN and most likely WILL make a difference. I'll briefly explain what happens to me on a daily basis: I'm located on the Balkans, so I'm equally far away from both Frankfurt 2 and Istanbul servers (the ping difference between these two servers is literally 2ms for me). I've played games on both servers and I like Frankfurt waaaay more than Istanbul. Why? Because people playing in Frankfurt understand that they're in Europe and will oftentimes speak English.In Istanbul you're doomed to having 8+ people spamming Turkish all the time and you really can't blame them for it since it's THEIR SERVER. It's night and day for me, I'd rather have 2ms more and play with people I can try and communicate with without listening to a language I don't understand all the time. I bet there are a lot of players that have experienced this at least a few times in their games too. Is this change possible in the near future? The problem with this, although not being able to shoot and damage people seen, it is able to get info for free without the ability to shoot it from boathouse. This would make it far easier for c9 to excecute the site with info they shouldn't have been able to get. Flashpoint ( the people running the tournament ) said "We have investigated a potential exploit involving Cloud9's usage of killjoy's turret in the match against Gen.G on Ascent because the issue with the turret occurred inconsistently and we cannot prove intent" In spite of the fact that cloud9 used the same turret 8 times in the game.
