When a person wants to spectate his/her friends, he/she should be able to send a request to spectate his/her friend's match from their pov. Now this request should be accepted by the friend for him/her to spectate the match. Edit1: The spectator should not be allowed to use their mics, however they can use the whisper chat. Also tthe spectator should only be able to spectate his/her friend (not the whole team). | This game needs a Leaver Rating Posted: 13 Nov 2020 01:24 PM PST This is one of the very few things Heroes Of Newerth did correctly before that game died Essentially a Leaver Rating is this: If you leave over a certain percentage of your matches before they finish, whether it's due to quitting the game or disconnecting or going afk, you are no longer allowed to play ranked game modes and then have to play unranked only until that percentage goes back into the green. In HoN this put a major emphasis on seeing games through to the end because leaving carried a major punishment that wasn't just a time out. Posted: 13 Nov 2020 10:29 AM PST I love number-based comparison and the arbitrary arrows that are assigned when you win ranked games or lose them, they literally are so inaccurate, it can be anywhere from "one game to division uprank" to "on the precipice of division downrank". I know it causes Rank anxiety, so, just make it optional. Give us ELO numbers to hit. How kills affect ELO. In what ratio does our ELO increase depending on ratio of round win-loss. It helps massively for me, since I get anxiety seeing those random arrows, and I'd love to just have a number-based aim going into the game(I want to go up by 100 ELO tonight by winning 2 games in a row, for example). By default, the option is off, but it can be turned on. You can only view your ELO and the ELO of your friends. You cannot view the ELO of the enemy team players(unless one of them is your friend, then you can only view that person's ELO). All this will bring into control, to some level, in-game tilt from descriptive ELOs, and people who just don't want to deal with it can turn it off totally (it will be off by default). Edit: u/baruse suggested a totem pole-like system, where only arrow numbers are shown. It'll keep ELO as vague as possible, while giving some level of precision. Posted: 13 Nov 2020 11:44 AM PST There are a lot of complains coming from pros about bo1/brackets/random seeds etc But there's also a viewer side... Why NA had like what... 10 streams or something so we can actually watch matches, while in EU there's barely anything - I think there are some Turkish and Arabic streams with casters (at least that's what I saw on the first day of qualifiers) and rest is up to players if they actually want to stream this... like... hello? Why literally a major region is treated like that? I'm actually very curious if there's any info about that, because I really enjoy watching these matches and it sucks that I literally have to either watch turkish/arabic casters (which for me is unbearable, since I can't understand anything) or looking for POVs of the players that actually speak English. | I can't get solid 60 FPS anymore since new patch Posted: 13 Nov 2020 01:13 PM PST So, I was wondeeing whether any of you have run into the same issue. My setup is pretty old, although I could manage to get solid 60 FPS most of the time with the lowest graphic settings. After the new patch, I'm always playing at fluctuating "50-60" FPS and sometimes it goes down to even 40 FPS to then go again up and down. Won't even tell you what my FPS during fights usually are. Besides, I get random drops to 0 FPS for like a second (thankfully not during combat time so far). Is any of you going through the same thing? Have you found any solutions? The game was running pretty good so far, but now it makes it very difficult to focus on 1v1 fights with all these issues. Hell even queuing into a 3 stack with 5 solos is such a disadvantage. Most of the time the team is always unbalanced and players spam select that one agent they wanna play and they can't change it after which later affect the gameplay greatly as they can't defend or attack effectively. And if they added a way you could earn vp from the free act pass, that would be amazing so players who cannot afford vp can save it up from the free act pass and possibly get their first skin. We all play under the same ranking system. Hiko doesn't get special treatment cuz hes Hiko. Nope! He plays under the same system as anyone else. Please check your internet connection and VPN settings." before this was showing up every time I launched the game it said that there was an error, and each time it was a different error. | Any Tips on Getting over Losing Rank Anxiety? Posted: 13 Nov 2020 09:17 AM PST Hey guys and gals, I'm currently Plat 2 and I've been steadily grinding with some success. I was a hardstuck plat 1 and decided to switch it up by playing only once a day in the morning. I've gotten into plat 2 and focused primarily on the quality of my games rather than the quantity and with work, can't devote much time to it as I'd like. At the moment today. I'm off of work. I played my one game in the morning and lost my rank up game to Plat 3. I want to keep playing today but can't help and feel the anxiety and possibility of losing another match. How do you guys combat this? I keep telling myself that it's just a game and that this act will be over in a couple months and the ranks will reset etc. I've been on the bitter end of losing streaks and I don't know how I'd feel if I lose my plat 2 status. I feel like I'm way too attached to the rank. Do you guys have any tips on getting over this? Do you guys recommend just forgetting about the rank system and just play? I try to tell myself this all the time but it's easier said than done. Posted: 13 Nov 2020 01:01 PM PST We all have been there more than once: time to pick the agent but you don't trust your team that much: 2 or more players without voice (very common on EU), the player doing placement claiming that he/she "will carry" and so on. If I don't select an agent, I have a reason to do so and should not be filled with hate messages - text and/or voice while I wait the time to expire. When that happens I can only think of how toxic my team would be if we went into the game and started losing. So please, respect those who prefer to dodge instead to be thrown into a match they are not feeling that confident. [link] [comments] |
