Posted: 22 Dec 2020 10:03 PM PST Hello fellow players, I would like to address a few things about smurfs. My view on smurfs is basically normal, besides that I think it is alright to play in a lower rank to play with friends that are a lower rank than you. Although, playing a duelist and getting 40 kills isn't "playing with your friends", that's boosting them and ruining games and the overall experience of players. So, please be a good person if you are playing in a lower rank and not take the game seriously and just play laid back. No need to drop 50 kills and ruin game experience for everyone else. Just chill out, mess around, and do your best to play normal to create a fair playing field in ranked matches. Thank you. ❤️ [link] [comments]
guys please stop calling out opponents as campers Posted: 23 Dec 2020 09:45 AM PST its a tactical shooter so camping is not wrong. most of you just come and play this game with your battle royale knowledge you got from fortnite or pubg and then create your own rules. please stop. its part of the game. if you call it as camping then am very sorry you have a lot to learn and just don't be cocky in in game comms [link] [comments]

Playing with unranked players in competitive is an absolute lottery. Posted: 23 Dec 2020 08:08 AM PST Two games in a row, I had an "unranked" player that clearly had skill above our level and got many multi-kills in the first few rounds then suddenly go quiet for the rest of the game after realizing that the rest of the team might win. By "go quiet", I mean 0 kills for the rest of the game. That player was evidently trying to lower his own rank to smurf. I'd recommend dodging them, you might get a smurf, someone at the right level, or someone trying to lower their rank to smurf harder. It's just not worth it. [link] [comments]
I’m getting my first pc for Christmas and I’m really excited to play valorant Posted: 23 Dec 2020 05:36 AM PST Is there anything I should know/ expect about downloading the game and early gameplay like a massive update after download or anything like that? [link] [comments]

Bringing back the old HS hit sound Posted: 23 Dec 2020 11:15 AM PST Hey there, Been a beta player since day 1. I absolutely loved the old HS hit sound in the beta, so it would be cool to see a QoL option to choose what hit sound you want. Thanks. [link] [comments]
How to counter a comp of: Op, 2 odins , and judges? Posted: 23 Dec 2020 12:56 PM PST Recently I've been playing against teams that pull this out. I just can't seem to beat it I'm not sure why. They usually don't pull it out until they're losing by a lot which is why it catches me off guard. Yesterday, I was on Ascent and a team had 2 OPs. One watching cat one watching tiles. A judge camping A main and 2 Odins camping B. But they kept switching up which threw us off. (this is an over simplification because if this was the positioning we could just bull rush A) Any tips? It seems the only tips against odins is "tap heads" which isn't wrong lol [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Dec 2020 01:25 PM PST Hey all! I'm new to valorant. I'm used to playing team deathmatch on consoles (battlefield) and I have 250 hours on Planetside 2. I like playing Deathmatch on Valorant to practice shooting. I tried using Odin and people didnt like that. I'm wondering if there are any other "no-no's" when it comes to playing this game or things that are frowned upon. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Can talk about the concussed effect? Posted: 23 Dec 2020 08:12 AM PST Does anybody like it? It just feels like RNG? Breach feels like shit to play for me because even when I know they're concussed, they still get RNG headshots when you swing on them. It almost feels like I'm punished for landing my ability because the reward is borderline down to whether or not they are lucky. Do you guys like the effect? Does it feel good to play with, or against? [link] [comments]
The best way to use Skye flashes; don't flash at all. Posted: 23 Dec 2020 08:14 AM PST If you just set the bird off in the general direction of where you're peaking, I almost always get a free kill as the general consensus is to turn away from the bird. I noticed this only because everytime I flash and peek I would die alot, and my opponents would barely be blinded, sometimes not blinded at all. [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Dec 2020 01:51 PM PST Been playing the game since beta but I took a break in act 1 and early act 2; I felt that I could never get out of platinum until this season. It felt so good to get diamond. If anyone needs any tips to get out of plat, I got you. [link] [comments]

What tasks should I use in Aim Lab to get the most efficiency out of my time? Posted: 23 Dec 2020 11:35 AM PST Hi guys :) I recently downloaded Aim Lab as a warmup routine and have been practicing gridshot for 30 minutes before starting a competitive game. But I've heard many people state that gridshot has proved to be a waste of time, and WILL NOT help during in game sessions. If this is the case, what tasks should I put my focus on. Any help is appreciated :D [link] [comments]

Your arm position in game may be whats holding you back from having good aim Posted: 22 Dec 2020 06:36 PM PST I noticed that when I'm in the range training my aim, my arm was always pretty much straight in front of me and I was getting decent flicks and picks, scoring pretty decent. However, when I got in game, I would start scanning rooms, clearing angles, etc. and my arm position would be way off. Flicks from these angles were something I hadn't been training, so my aim was all fucked. It wasn't until I thought about it, and made fixes to always keep my arm straight that I started to see my accuracy go up. [link] [comments]
Grinding back to Gold 3 after being demoted to Silver 3. it is WAY TOO PUNISHING. Posted: 23 Dec 2020 02:22 PM PST Here's some context: I've been a Gold/Platinum ranking player for a while, ever since I got to play Valorant. Just after one day of bad games, I manage to get demoted hard to Silver 3. Let me tell you, grinding out of Silver 3 is hell. That rank manages to pool up a mix of mechanically great players, but also gives you the instalock duelists who won't enter for you, the sages who flank every goddamn round..you get my point. So imagine being a solo queue, Gold/Plat player who has a bad day. A day so bad that you go down Silver 3. The only thing you can hope on your side is: 1. Your rushes are better than the enemies rushes. 2. They have a bad team composition. 3. Your games don't even out in wins/losses. 4. You get a smurf or a communicative 4-stack. 5. The enemy team implodes on each other soon enough that they play bad. [link] [comments]
Why does this sub always talk about the same thing? Posted: 23 Dec 2020 02:12 PM PST I dont understand why this sub is a rehash of "I don't like rank system. Rank system bad. Or team mates leave and that made me sad. Or I have team mates throw every game and I can't escape silver so I need reddit to help me. Like you guys realize you can find like minded individuals and probably the same exact responses on your post on one of the other 10,000 posts that are the exact same. Every now and then you get some people actually saying something interesting or showing a cool strategy or character concept. But 90% is just whining about random crap. Its ironic because I feel like I'm doing the same exact thing with this post but I'm so tired of this. [link] [comments]
What's your rank playing on 60Hz monitor/60fps? Posted: 23 Dec 2020 06:53 AM PST For the people playing on a 60Hz monitor with capped or uncapped fps, what are your ranks? This is also my first post in this sub. Thank you. [link] [comments] |
