    Revive interaction voice lines

    Posted: 07 Jan 2021 11:47 PM PST

Probably not gonna happen, but it would be nice if we got some voice line for

    1. When you get res and get back at your killer

    2. When you kill someone again after they get ressed

I've seen many cases on where a res goes wrong or when a resed character gets revenge on their killer, here are some lines I think would probably pop up in this situation

Phoenix Revenge: Ay fam, Remember me?

Phoenix Denied: Let me stop you right there mate

Omen Revenge: Death means nothing to me

Omen Denied: Only I can defy death!

Cypher Revenge: That's for scuffing the suit

Cypher Denial: just be glad that wasn't on camera

Breach Revenge: You thought I forgot about you?!?

Breach Denial: Try that shit again! Watch what happens

Sage Denied: A second chance? I think not.

If you have ideas for other ressed revenge/denial lines let me know ;)

You should be able to place dummys in customs so you can test molly, recon arrow, etc

    Posted: 08 Jan 2021 12:59 AM PST

It'd be nice if you could place a dummy wherever you want in custom so you can test line ups and other abilities. Examples:

"Will my Sova arrow detect someone in this cubby?"
"Will boom bot see a person here?"

It'd make testing stuff a lot easier

Why do people love to surrender so much in this game?

    Posted: 08 Jan 2021 05:44 AM PST

I have no issues with getting absolutely annhilated by the opposition. This doesn't mean I would surrender. But whenever I solo queue, even in the first couple of rounds if the team find it isn't going their way they surrender. I really do not understand it.

I honestly think that the only way you're going to improve in the game is by playing people who are better than you, and it doesn't hurt my ego in anyway even if I lose 13-1.

I can't be the only one who thinks this surely.

    - edit (just a little add on)

if you're playing with people who are AFK, cheaters etc, sure, I understand why some people may surrender, but i've referring to the whole standard 5 v 5, no AFK'ers, no hackers just normal people giving up in the first half of the game. Also I believe that surrendering just because you don't want to waste your time isn't a viable excuse (in my opinion), I get that some people just play to have fun, but there's no fun in constantly just pressing that surrender button because you're not getting the frags.

    ValorantCards

    Posted: 08 Jan 2021 05:43 AM PST

After much work, I proudly introduce you to www.valorantcards.com

Valorant cards are lineup and setups flashcards, aimed at those like me who have a low memory, and would like to remember details of their favorite lineups during a game,

They are aimed at assisting in learning, and memorizing the various lineups available on the internet.

All cards have difficulty information, type of lineup, name of lineup creator and direct link to youtube content.

There is no video on this website, there are just images, and video links from where you can learn the lineups

At launch of the site there are 452 different valorant cards.

    212 Sova Cards

    63 Viper Cards

    34 Raze Cards

    33 Killjoy Cards

    30 Phoenix Cards

    23 Brimstone Cards

    14 Sage Cards

Most cards are in the 1920x1620 standard, with 3 standard photos, the largest photo with the lineup position, the second photo with the agent's position, and the third photo with the result.

The site is divided by characters and maps, as well as a tag search system to facilitate the search for your favorite lineup, as well as tags by difficulty and types of lineups.

There are 5 types of difficulty, beginner, easy, normal, hard and impossible, as well as several types of tags for lineups such as recon, shock, setup, nanoswarm, incendiary and others.

I intend to add many more cards over time, especially for those agents who have few, as well as I want to improve the tag system, place tags by specific location, and attack or defense tags.

If you like the site you can help me by sending ideas for lineups that you would like to see on this site, the contact email is valorantcards@gmail.com

edit: Omen added with 27 cards.

Adding bots when a player is afk

    Posted: 08 Jan 2021 04:31 AM PST

I know this is not the first thing riot is prioritizing right now but we players need to have a bot that a player can control rather than an orb because it pretty much fucks up the chances of your team winning( I know ult orbs have benefit also) but i think adding controllable bots with commands for them will make the game better and more stable for those players who always encounter toxic people and increases the chance of them winning a round because sometimes the val error is annoying cuz it randomly pops saying you have an internet problem crap even tho your internet is fine.

Just saying because valve fucked up on the new csgo update lmfao pepelaugh

Announcing ValorantGG ( PUBLIC Beta )

    Posted: 08 Jan 2021 02:32 AM PST

So i don't know if this post will make it or if it will get removed, but I'm announcing a platform I've been working on for around a month now.

https://valorantgg.net , the website is made so people can sign up and share their settings, keybinds, specs & peripherals with other people.

The platform is still in public beta, and a lot of functionalities won't work or will bug out, i'm releasing it here so i can get some people to beta test and help me fix the bugs.

I'm also working on a Discord bot for it so you can use it with the bot.

    Ringers in Ranked

    Posted: 08 Jan 2021 08:38 AM PST

I remember ESEA had an option for this, not so much about how it worked. Basically if someone DC'd or got kicked out a ringer would join in his place. Being a ringer was optional and you'd have to enable it, so what's in it for you? Regardless of the outcome, no ELO is lost and you still have the chance to wi .

Thoughts? Considering the amount of AFKs is one of the main problems with ranked I'd like this.

Why valorant needs to download/upload so much data?

    Posted: 08 Jan 2021 07:57 AM PST

Why valorant needs to download/upload so much data?

    Hi !

Here the problem, I have a bad internet connection. Stable but every time something is downloading in background, my lantency goes up...

To fix this issue while gaming, I usually turn off the wifi and the only thing connected with ethernet is my computer. So i have no problem, and i can play valorant with my stable 35ms latency BUT every 5-10min, it downloads/uploads a big amount of data making my latency goes up to 300-400ms.

It's very frustrating and made me lose a lot of rounds because of that. In any other game I play (csgo, apex, rocket league,...) it never goes upper 0.5 Mbit/s while here i've got:

    - Valorant: 1.2 Mbit/s

    - Valorant anti cheat: 2.8 Mbit/s (wtf?)

    https://preview.redd.it/567g71gzr4a61.jpg?width=916&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=91c08dcf8a17fdde61f00a592f896671da3de924

I don't know what they are downloading/uploading, but can't they set a buffering system or do that between games or something?

This is very annoying for people with bad connexion

Unrated mode with the first to reach 5 rounds wins, with a fixed credit score, hear me out

    Posted: 08 Jan 2021 07:04 AM PST

-Same as unrated but first to win 5 rounds wins

-Fixed eco, your soft credit cap is 4k meaning you will always be able to buy a gun without spamming an op every round

-it will serve as a good quick casual quick mode, it will also serve as a good practice tool aswell

-problem with spike rush it does nothing to help prepare players for ranked, same goes for domination

-unrated is fine by itself its just sometimes you might be starving for time, and also want quick matches to just full-on practice without getting smashed in unrated

what do you guys think? any suggestions?

Shoutout to Grim & FlowAscending for making Sage great again and teaching the community!

    ...................................................................................................................................................................................

After being hardstuck in soloQ and constantly bouncing between plat-dia I felt like quitting Valorant for good. Then I discovered those guys and changed my main and practiced every possible wallboost.

    ...................................................................................................................................................................................

Now at the end of the season and lots of aces later I finally mastered even what I consider the most difficult jump and I am able to enjoy the game in a completly new way as a battle Sage and often find myself topfragging as the dull healbot everyone always yells at :D

So a big thx to those 2 dudes, I hope our community can find many more creative ways to play the game.

What is the correct mentality when getting into mid/long range engagements with a Phantom?

    Posted: 08 Jan 2021 05:46 AM PST

I've been playing for a few months now and enjoy using the Phantom because I play agents with smokes. However I have found myself actually performing better with the Vandal because I can always be sure to get one taps at any range. With the Phantom though, I tend to second guess where my first shot should be placed because I know that I'll need a followup shot and I usually end up wasting my first shot accuracy on a body shot. So should I be looking for a beginning headshot followed by dragging down my spray to the body or should I start with the body and let recoil carry the shots towards the head? Thanks in advance!

Select a agent model for the practice range dummies

    Posted: 08 Jan 2021 10:46 AM PST

It feels the dummues are easier to see and hit mostly for headshots and it would be closer to a real game.

Quitting VALORANT bcz of "No Action against people sabotaging the TEAM"

    Posted: 08 Jan 2021 01:10 PM PST

Literally had 2 out of three games where my teammates were sabotaging... Always report clear cut sabotaging where teammate nades and ults their own team but never had any response from RIOT as to what action was taken against the report.... And Im not talking about ambiguous ones. Im talking about people sabotaging the whole game.... People always get away with it and this attitude is increasing day by day... Im sick and tired of it... Just played my last valorant game.... Cz I cant play VALORANT game of 15-20 mins where my teammate mollys and nades me and I cant even surrender cz he declines surrender too to troll and all I can do is bite my tongue cz RIOT for sure will do nothing about it...!!! And Im not considering toxicity in the chat...!!! After a certain update when people had chat bans it was a bit under control but now its sky rocketing ...!!!! Abuses from Toxic teammate is part and parcel oh almost every game in silver and gold rank...!!!! Nice Work RIOT in making this game a fun experience for me...!!!! Thanks...!!!!!

Choosing a main: the harmonizer. A love letter

    Posted: 08 Jan 2021 10:57 AM PST

TLDR: thank you to all the players who are out there, keeping a level head, staying positive, and giving out criticism when it's applicable and not just because you've got a thing to say.

    Long version:

This community is great, and despite all the whining, it does a lot for keeping us all together and promotes (often enough, at least) the idea that staying positive, and self reflecting are the best ways to "climb the ladder." I say that, because not everyone is really interested in elo, but almost all of us are interested in improving. Why? Because we are here to have fun and as I've heard "winning means having fun."

But we all know that's absolutely not true. Winning =/= fun. So many of us are grinding it out. Yet, still, we know rank essentially means nothing. Upper elo is a shit show. Lower elo is a shit show.

So to those of you who don't already know, when you're choosing a main, it's not really important who you play (play everyone to know what their abilities are...play a couple reliably), but your attitude. So many of us are easily tilted, and end up tilting our teammates. Not a winning strategy, but we've all got our flaws.

What video games lack, what esports lack, is a reliable community of adults (coaches) to guide younger players. This isn't just in game strategy, but also on how to be an admirable winner, and even a dignified loser.

It's so painful to see an otherwise silent topfrag teammate say "ez" when they were just about to exit like a boss. It's seriously the effect of looking back at the explosion just to be sure you're ok. Don't reveal your fragile ego, lol. Play it cool, man. People will look up to you more. Now, I'm not really talking about the bottom frag troll who says "gg ez" as a joke. That's kinda irritating, but par the course. If we were all there in person, a good deal of us might laugh, but usually the older players will smirk and give that kid a bit of a "seriously, m8" look. It's all in good fun, but being there in person gives off a lot of phsycial ques that we absolutely don't get in game.

so for all of you who have the ability to keep it cool, play nice, and keep the team together: you're doing a great job, and you're absolutely doing the best for your team.

To summate: keep on keeping your head. have fun. This shit can be super irritating, so seeing a player's fragile ego doesn't evoke strength, and we all know it. You can be playing to win, playing to improve, and still have fun. It's not videowork

    <3, stay cool
