It's really perfect timed and I feel like all flashes should have this duration of flash. You get blinded by breach or sky and you open your eyes directly in the next round whereas Yoru's flashes let you actually be able to dodge it properly and even when you can't, it doesn't last for for 2 years straight. The color of Yoru's flash is also really forgiving to my eyes lol [link] [comments] | ||

The same way that you hear a singeing sound when an enemy player (or teammate for that matter) steps into a Phoenix fire wall, players should cough when passing through Viper's smoke, even if they just enter it briefly. This would bring some new utility to Viper, and I believe would be balanced based on the fact that Viper's gas can't stay up for too long before needing to come down. [link] [comments] | ||
| Why are Viper players so adorable? Posted: 16 Jan 2021 01:21 AM PST The other day I was in ascent defending. So I go to the point to set up, and I see our Viper measuring her poison wall, trying to get it to land in the right spot, doing incremental twitches of her movement. I thought it was nice. Then I see her throw her poison orb onto a ledge but it keeps dropping. And for the whole time we were setting up, she couldn't get it to land on there. She just threw it and it dropped, she picked it up and threw it, it dropped. And repeat. I had another team mate near me and we were both standing there staring at her. Similarly on attack, she spent a while staring at the air, measuring her poison pool so it'd land in a good spot. I just found the whole thing hilarious but in a cute way. Another game we had a great Viper who was shot-calling the entire game. But in a respectful manner. He was telling us what he was going to do and recommended what we should do. He was encouraging us and telling us it was all good if we lost a round. He was leading the ladder of course too. And I've noticed so many Viper players like this. Funnily, Viper players are the only mains I've seen who aren't toxic (maybe Killjoy too). Just thought I'd share this. [link] [comments] | ||
| Unpopular opinion: I love not being able to choose map. Posted: 16 Jan 2021 11:03 AM PST A lot of people seem to dislike certain maps and dodge. I'm not going to lie, there was a while when I could not stand Haven. The three sites bamboozled me, it was very frustrating. I felt like I was constantly getting flanked. I think a lot of the maps I end up having a sort of love/hate relationship with. But I really appreciate that we don't have the choice and I enjoy getting to know each map slowly overtime. The lottery of "what map will I get now?" Is actually quite fun to me. It is frustrating when you get icebox 4x in a row (did they forget to turn down the frequency of occurance after launching it?). Somehow it feels like a more level playing field not getting to choose the map. So this me asking riot not to include a map selection feature... :D [link] [comments] | ||

This is why I tried to do one version of my own by combining 2 things that makes people hate you : Breach flashes and get killed by shotgun. I didn't tried ranked yet, as I don't have solid mates to try it and I don't want to throw anyone's games. | Posted: 16 Jan 2021 04:46 AM PST In act 1, I ended up as Plat 1. I felt proud, but felt like there was way more to achieve. In act 2, my development stalled. I struggled, but still finished at Plat 1 act rank, with a brief visit to Plat 2. I was, all in all, happy... but not satisfied. Act 3 messed me up. I struggled hard. I went down to Gold, and never even visited Plat. I thought I would never get out of Gold. I lost heart. Throughout these three acts, I laughed, I cried, I clutched, I whiffed. I made some new friends, and a lot of new enemies. I tried to be a good teammate, but sometimes, to my shame, I bet I was toxic. But that's all behind me now. I took a long break. I felt like I wasn't going anywhere. And on that break, I finally figured it out. It's super simple. It's all about consistency. So when Episode 2 started, I was ready. I eliminated all semblance of "good gameplay" from my playing. I lost my gamesense. I purposefully lowered my IQ by engaging in debates on Reddit. I started whiffing consistently, paying attention to place my crosshair ever so to the side of my enemy's head; not just once or twice, but every time. I just want an that i can play on when I feel kind of tired, drank a beer or whatever. I only want to play on my main when I feel like I can really give my best. If my reactions are bad after a long day I often still want to play the game but I am afraid of loosing in my rank. I know I could play unranked but as we all now it just is not the same game there.
