After many discussion on this topic during our video trials (still to come!), we came to the conclusion that the subreddit would do best with flairs for content. We want to be clear, this will be in addition to our rules that will come from the video trials as we don't consider flairs to be the end all be all of this conversation, however, we understand that with the amount of content that comes in, and the ability to be able to see content you might be interested in at a glance, this would be extremely helpful for the subreddit. The flairs we have set up will be:
On roll out, we will kindly ask that you please flair your posts on posting, a bot will reminds you if you forget. We will keep this transition period for a month, after which, your post will be removed if you do not flair it within 15 minutes. To note as well: We will have some leniency on mis-flairing in the beginning, but once we pass the month gate, intentional mis-flairs will be met with potential removals of posts and warnings to the user. We hope this make the subreddit a healthier community for you all and we're looking forward to see how these changes affect the subreddit. | Posted: 26 Mar 2021 05:51 AM PDT A few months ago, I discovered the command /remake, thats remake the match if a player AFK in first round and get disconnected in the second one. Although, everybody on your team needs to agree to actually remake the match. Sometimes, when I do /remake, some people thinks thats is a Surrender poll, so they say no, even if I've said in microphone that will simply remake the match, without any loss. Also, the other problem is when this command is applicable, if someone start to be AFK in second round, we can't use it. They need to decrease the amount of people that needs to agree to the poll to 3 or 4, increase the amount of rounds to this command be applicable and also make the poll show automatically, beacause some people dosent even know that this exist. | Gonna pass on some knowledge from CS to Valorant since so many new FPS players are on now. Posted: 26 Mar 2021 01:40 PM PDT MOUSE SETTINGS Go to mouse settings (windows, not in-game) hit additional mouse settings, pointer options. Now.. turn off "Enhance pointer precision". TLDR about this - windows inputs random numbers that makes your mouse speed up and slow down etc, and this is extremely INCONSISTENT. Colors If you look at some of the former CSGO players, you'll notice their game is more colorful.. this is the "Digital Vibrance" setting. On some monitors it's called Saturation. Too much saturation can strain the eyes though. But having this setting on a bit higher will make enemies "pop" out more; especially since this game has outlines. (Wardell uses yellow, and this is the first color the human eye catches first btw). Crosshair concepts You want a crosshair that doesn't block vision of people from afar, so you'll see players run "dot" crosshairs or have a gap big enough to see. But if you dive deeper some players will agree that if there is a gap, you are actually aiming with your eyes rather than focusing onto your crosshair. Again it's down to preference, but having a gap, and the tip of the crosshair to "assist" with sprays is great. Running and gunning Simply let go of the direction you are moving and tap the opposite direction to "stop" faster. Too much time in range, or with weapons that don't really matter. Example.. your most used pistol in econ rounds? Run and gun ghost is actually insane. Classic burst is good too. I highly doubt players use stinger in their "range" warm ups or death match. One of my quickest climbs in CSGO was when I was goofing around with Deagle only... it taught me how to really predict where people are moving and the effects of 1 tapping people does to them. That and you can buy your team guns by running Sheriff/Stinger/Bucky only. (You have 7k, buy your team Operators and they will love you and actually try to win). Eye strain Take breaks, hot shower, stretch for a few minutes.. but for me if you go outside and focus on objects that are far away helped me the most. AND 5.Viper got secrets while Omen have truths. (based on their VC) "Don't die here, Sabine. I need your secrets."- omen "I wonder what's inside of their Omen. What truth is he keeping from ours?"- viper to enemy omen Viper has secrets right? Turns out that the word Viper does not only pertain to the snake BUT ALSO to a person who cannot be trusted or a spiteful back stabbing person. This can imply that in the past, Viper could've betrayed someone. (Perhaps she betrayed her old self who curse people and joined Kingdom, thus turning againts her oath as a doctor who saves lives and uses the knowledge to kill instead.) VIPER HATES SAGE AND HERE IS A POSSIBLE REASON WHY
"This is what I trained for!" -Sage (she trained to be a soldier?? a healer?? or both. I believe she trained AFTER she failed VIper and OMen that's why she is pretty strict with herself? Like she commands almost everyone. "I wasn't strong enough before... but now, now I am strong enough for us all!" and after training and getting her confidence she acknowledges that she can contribute a lot to the Valorant Protocol even to the point that she is Second in Command (Brimstone is the Leader) "Sage, you're the only one who can keep us alive. Don't fail us now like you failed me then." -Viper to Ally Sage [Last Kill] "That's payback Sage."-Viper to Enemy Sage Speaking of the Valorant Protocol, note that Brimstone, Viper and Omen are the first 3 agents who joined the Protocol. I guess Viper and Omen joined for Omen's "healing" and for Viper to avenge the loss of everything in her life. "Let's take from them, what they took from me... everything."- Viper Sage is 7th to join the Valorant Protocol, perhaps maybe she was training that is why she was not able to join earlier. ME SIMPING ON VIPER LORE Viper: She was a good person who lost everything maybe because of the "copies". "I am your monster. You made me this way. Never forget that." -Viper. "You wanted a villain? I gave you a villain"-Viper Since the copies plants spike to get radianite which causes destruction, maybe Viper's life was destroyed because of a planted spike. So basically, Viper is not a psycho who just kill for kill but she does take great pleasure and killing and making the "copies" suffer. "I wonder if these ones will beg. And Sova noted that Viper is indeed a violent Scientist. VIPER IS INSANE, LITERALLY "There's a Viper over there. What a shame to rid the world of that mind. It's kinda scary to think what kinds of torture Viper made the clones undergo with. She is indeed insane and cruel. "Some vermin are born to die... Like rats in a lab." Sova noted that her ways of justice is scary or inhumane. This is a new line i heard during buy phase and I cant find it. :( To end this, I think Viper talks to herself when she says "No one can hold their breath forever." after watching many copies beg for their lives and as Viper let her toxic engulf them while she watches them slowly die as they inhale her poison. And I see a lot of people make funny interactions like that so I wanna do it too but I don't know which key I should press. | Unintentional disconnections have led to be being banned from comp for a week Posted: 26 Mar 2021 11:41 AM PDT Hiya so I just wanted to hear everyone else's opinions and ask a question about this topic :) So the way I have my PC my phone is giving my pc Internet via a USB cable. Although, sometimes the cable gets loosend by my headphone wire and I accidentally disconnect. This rarely happens but since the new update that harshly punishes those who go AFK, this has happened to me 5 (out of about 30 games) times and I've only gone for about 1 round and 3 at the absaloute most if my USB if being fiddly. Whilst yes it is my problem and it is my fault I'm not intentionally leaving or leaving for long I feel like this penalty is somewhat unfair as I do not have intent to damage the match or farm XP Anyways my question is if I keep disconnecting will I get banned all together? And yes this is the ONLY way I can provide my PC with a Internet connection and NO I cannot go out and get a new wire or adapter as of now. I just wanted to voice this really that's all.
