| High ranked streamers are normalizing smurfing Posted: 06 Apr 2021 09:05 AM PDT Over the past few days, I have seen a lot of posts on this sub about pros smurfing in low elos. The problem for me is a lot of them who do it are big streamers like Hiko (Radiant) Pokimane (Diamond) and Wardell (Radiant) but at least Wardell was clearly messing around and not trying. However, apparently, Hiko was going 27-6 when he did smurf. In total, the 3 of them average about 30K-50K viewers so imagine how many people might see this and think "hey smurfing looks fun" and ruins every low Elo player's day. Edit: Okay so apparently some of the people I mentioned are boosted. I did not know this and im sorry that people are getting offended that I said poki was diamond. Posted: 06 Apr 2021 08:47 AM PDT Look, I know I'm in low elo (bronze), but if you've died at any point in the round and you're halfway across the map and I'm actively defending a site that enemies are pushing on to or you're in a spot that I know enemies are actively watching, stop muddling up the comms because I'm not going to risk getting punished for positioning poorly to rez you. Apart from all the common ones (kill 10, 100, 1000, win X games, plant 10 spikes etc), these are some I thought would be cool (and super hard) to get: - Cold Revenge: Kill someone that killed you in the same round, after Sage revives you. - Tight Time: Kill someone with less than one second left to win the round. - Cold Soul: Make two back to back ACEs. - 24k Magic: Make 24 kills in a game without dying once. - Rainbow Man: Make an ACE with 5 different skins. - Rush God: Plant the spike in less than 10 seconds. - Team Player: Make 20 assists in one game with a duelist. - "Abilities don't kill": Kill 4 people with abilities in one round. - Endless: Play a 40 round game. - Meele-boy: Make 3 knife kills in a single game. - Mirror's Edge: Kill your mirror agent 10 times in a game. - Shotgunner: Kill 4 people with a bucky in a single round. - C5PO: Kill 5 people with the bomb you planted. - Humiliation: Knife the guy defusing the bomb. - BAR-PSG: Make a comeback from a 12-0 to win the game. - BRA71L: Make the enemy team surrender when you are up 7 to 1. - SOLO Carry: Make 20 kills more than the second fragger in a game. - Nuisance: Kill 4 guys with the judge in less than 5 seconds. - Punisher: Kill a guy with a knife when he is reloading. - Bye bye birdie: Make 5 assists in a round only with Skye's bird blind. | Radiant players that actively play under influence? Posted: 06 Apr 2021 10:04 AM PDT I'm curious as to if any top 100-500 players have played and made it to there under the influence of something (More specifically marijuana) but other things. I'm curious to this as the past 2 years I was diagnosed with a stomach disease that causes it to spasm at random times, one of the medications I was recommended a few months ago by my GI specialist was actually cannabis, not smoking but edibles and if that hurts my stomach then smoke to calm the spasms down. So all in all, due to me taking marijuana for my stomach pain/spasms, is there anyone with similar issues at that rating who play actively under influence, is it just a bad idea to try and play ranked under influence at all? It'd be nice to not have to wait to sober up/wait the next day to play again if I'm having my spasms. Edit: Asking for ranked for personal goals, currently plat and don't want to decline hard and hurt my confidence in playing anymore because of a medication when my goal is diamond. | Use your ultimate, win rounds. The sooner you ult, the sooner you can ult again. Posted: 06 Apr 2021 01:10 PM PDT I see a lot of people having ult but not ulting. This is usually a mistake. The purpose of an ult is to win you rounds by tipping things into your favor. Given that, why wouldn't you want to have that advantage as often as you can? Even better if the rest of your team can do so as well. Once you use your ult, every kill, every plant, and every ult orb you get will go towards your next ult. If you save your ult, all of those potential ult points are wasted. If you can turn an 80% chance of winning a round into a near 100% by ulting, just go for it and secure the win. There's no point in complicating it and risking a loss. Rez to turn 3v2s into 4v2s, run it back for a free extra life and info, empress to gain a massive boost in dps and heal and reposition for free, lockdown to win automatically. Your ult is there for you to benefit from it. If you use your ult now, you will get more ults off throughout the course of the whole match than if you save it. Use it or lose it. 'It' being all possible future ults Win the round (you'll probably get kills in the process too), pick up the orbs and do it again [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 06 Apr 2021 03:00 AM PDT I was going through player cards in the game, and when it came to agent ID cards something caught my eye. We currently have 15 agents in the game, with Astra being the newest addition. Yet her number on the card is 16. Yoru's number is 15 and Skye's is 14. Given what we know, Brimstone is most definitely 01. Could this mean that there is an Agent 00 out there who recruited Brimstone into the Valorant Protocol in the first place? [link] [comments] | ||

I'm a 13 yr old male, and my voice is high pitch so everyone asks what gender, obviously I said male. And the rest of the game they kept calling be trans or some shii, and one of my teammates (most likely a 17 - 21 female) stood up for me lmao. (Also I respect all gender) It just weirds me out how saying some people call others gay or trans as a offense. Does this happen to any as well? Sure this is very unimportant and a minimally impactful thing to add but I feel like it would help train our eyes to notice them more or hit the headshots better against specific agent models.
