Has anyone else had this issue? I swear they said in the patch notes this issue was resolved. Sometimes i like to spice it up with some Split but my last 5 games have been Ascent. Doesn't matter if its competitive, unrated or DM, I will play Ascent. | Inflation of rank because of high amount of smurfs Posted: 19 Sep 2020 01:22 AM PDT If you are diamond+, chances are you probably have a smurf. Most people has a smurf for different reasons, I smurf to play with my friends. I am imm2 with pretty much all my Doritos filled, but I feel like many other high elo players would agree that there are many inflated accounts that don't belong in their elo, and I think a big part is because of the sheer amount of smurfs pushes bad players down and mediocre players up, taking up space in the overall rank system. The skill gap in high elo is visually noticeable when a player doesn't play like their rank, but I also get everyone can have off games. I just feel as the ranking system is still very flawed...player's rank and skill can be so drastically different it's laughable. For some reason, I didn't feel this way in csgo? Maybe because it cost $20 bucks before it became f2p but I don't know. I think riot should somehow try to deter smurf accounts, but also understand that smurfing won't go away and it never will, and also take a look at the ranking system/skill distribution. | We really need dedicated servers for dedicated regions Posted: 19 Sep 2020 05:53 AM PDT Don't get me wrong I love valorant but I'm a competitive person and when I'm having a bad game due to lag or a communication barrier it can cause me to rage quite a bit (not at my teammates I'm not toxic) (and this isn't a rage post I'm positing it I hopes that someone from riot will see this) So I recently saw a trending video on this sub reddit that showed a person who was brilliant with the OP scoring headshots and nothing registering. I can only imagine how infuriating this is for this player only for it to then rub off on his teammates and the whole course of the game. Furthermore, I feel valorant relies more on communication more than people think. I bought a team of freinds together and we dominate because we can plan out strategies, let each other know last known locations or a hit on a certain team player but when I go solo in the game I'm getting put with people who don't even speak the same language. And while diversity is great that can create a communication barrier that can cause us to lose which just gets even more annoying in competitive. Riot, people who work on Valorant I know the game is still new and I know you probally have so many tricks up your sleeve for stuff like this but if your reading this please add dedicated servers for different regions soon please.
