Toxicity in VCT Streams, especially for regions outside NA Posted: 19 Aug 2021 09:22 PM PDT I don't understand why there are so many toxic people in the stream chat for other VCT Matches in other regions. These players have put their blood, sweat and tears to qualify and train for these big tournaments and the community just sh*ts on them as if they're bronze players. I come from the SEA region and I understand that our players might not be on par as other regions but they have also put in the hard work just like those in other regions. What does everyone think of Valorant adding a way to stockpile XP to save up for new agents like League of Legends does with IP? Posted: 19 Aug 2021 05:09 PM PDT It feels terrible having every game of XP go to waste after you already own all the champions. In League of Legends you get IP which you can stock pile for the next releases. I have the next 10 champ in league ready to buy with stockpiled IP but i dread having to grind out the next 10 agents knowing every game before they came out did not count. I also think the current system may encourage smurfing because if you have all the agents on your main then smurfing lets you not only drop high kill games but also gives you rewards for your XP by unlocking agents again. Allowing XP stockpiling like IP would promote more reasons to play on your main. I don't see a downside for the community to do this, thoughts? submitted by /u/SelloutRealBig [link] [comments]

Do I deserve all the hate for using Odin in a game? Will buying a larger monitor mess up my aim? Posted: 20 Aug 2021 06:38 AM PDT I'm currently playing valorant on my 15-inch screen laptop and on Gold 2 right now. I'm planning on buying a 144hz 24-inch monitor to see my crosshair and enemies better but i'm worried it might mess up my aim. Took me awhile to be comfortable in flicking with jett ult, i used to miss alot of right click. Controller advice? Posted: 20 Aug 2021 12:21 PM PDT Hey everyone! I'm a new player to Valorant and PC FPS games in general. Started playing ranked solo recently and am currently silver 3. I'm hoping to push towards plat soon so I can play with my higher ranked friends. Not playing with them right now since I don't want to drag them down or carry me up towards the higher rank without the skill needed. I'm a controller/sentinel main as I notice most ppl tend to choose duelists like Jett/Raze/Reyna, so usually I can pick whoever I want. Been mostly playing Viper/Brimstone whenever I choose controller or Sage/Cypher whenever I play as a sentinel. I avoid duelists/initiator roles as honestly I'm not that good at being an entry and making space for the team or going directly into a 1v1 gunfight as my aim isn't the best so I do tend to lose them the majority of the time. So was wondering if ur guys thoughts are on between choosing to unlock Astra or Omen. I'm currently leaning towards Astra as she looks to be the more defensive of the 2 which I prefer. Also her pulls and stuns seem fun to learn. But heard that Omen is easier to play and is more self sufficient with his flash and ult for fast travel/info. Posted: 20 Aug 2021 08:22 AM PDT i spawned with light shields bought for me in pistol round when we switched from attack to defender side last round i had died through a operator on icebox i was playing yoru and i had just come out of my ult next round when we switch i see that light armor is bought for me. i don't know if i had light armor last round but i think i did. this glitch/bug allowed me to buy ghost with abilites so this is pretty game breaking and hope it gets patched submitted by /u/Ranvir33 [link] [comments]

Does anyone else always feel like there are holes in team comp in low elo? Posted: 20 Aug 2021 07:05 AM PDT For some backstory, I'm a Sova main with Omen/Astra in my pocket when I need to fill smokes. (I also know some orb/molly lineups and common walls for Viper on Bind, Icebox, and Breeze). The most annoying thing really is that there always feels like there is a hole in the team comp. Often, when filling, I'm forced to choose between smokes and Sova. Even when someone else locks smokes at my request so I can lock Sova, I feel bad about that because the smoker usually does not use his utility very effectively. It's even worse if I lock smokes and ask someone else to lock info, because usually the info locker does not use his utility effectively either. Running a comp without info either feels incredibly uncomfortable, since you basically can see where they are going to execute on round start with an info player (teams hard commit one site at low elo, no one defaults, for example if I scan no one B/Mid icebox then we know it's an A hit), so it's often a really uncomfortable situation of having bad or no smokes or having an info player that constantly flashes you (Skye/Kayo) or doesn't use his util at all just about (Sova). Honestly, I'd give just about anything for a smoker that has rudimentary info utility. What do you guys think? Can you relate? submitted by /u/Cognizar_The_Dragon [link] [comments]
