| Posted: 28 Jul 2021 09:27 AM PDT Breach is an initiator that is advertised as destroying defenses and explosively getting his team onto site but is doesn't fulfill these roles like his peers do. The way i see i initiators their jobs are clearing out angles,clearing out utility,and baiting in some form to get picks. Breach is terrible at all of these roles. Let's compare his e to other initiators. Sova with a lineup can clear out entire sites and clear multiple angles at once. Kay/o can knife and narrow down where enemies could be. Skye can flash on recharge and take the most fights because of this. Breach e is a line where to see if you stunned anyone you have to face check to see if anyone is there and is normally used to check cubbies. He has after shock but that only clears out 1 angle for the round where as dog or drone can clear multiple angles. Breach also has no way of handling sentinel utility. Non of abilities affect sentinel utility. Sova can shock and drone,kay/o is kay/o and his molly can break stuff and skye has dog. Breach is also hard countered by smokes since like all other flashes he cant pop flash out of smoke and with the rise of viper this problem is made more so. He has to wait for his team to do something about this utility or clear it out manually which puts his explosive play style on hold until those this are dealt with. He also has no way of baiting himself with major risk. Kay/o ult lets you bait him and disable everyone since if your team would actually follow let's you res him. Sova can drone to trade the drone with a teammate or tag someone and get an early pick. Skye can dog and do the same as sova or bait her ult to get a kill. Breach is unable to do any of these and his ult requires team cord to clear out stunned enemies in time before they get unstunned. I'd also argue that raze is a better initiators since her nades clear out stuff and she can multiple in a round and boom bot can bait and clear corners and her ult let's her get a pick while drawing a lot of attention. Im not really sure how you would buff breach maybe some tremor sense or radar but as of right now he simply cannot to preform his job like other agents. Even if you have team cord every other initiator benefits from it easier and get a lot more value hence why he rarely picked in pro play.
